Mr. Alexander Barrett’s architectural design projects (both commissioned and collaborative) and his back-ground in finance are the foundation for the “design + develop + dwell” plan of 38 Spatial, Inc.

In addition to architectural design and construction management, Alexander's resume includes twelve years of acting trustee and conservator of family estates.

Having worked for architectural firms in California and New York City, his design firm, Progetto Barrett, started in 2000, focused on residential and small commercial projects. This early work with clients in California provided the seed for his interest in development. In 2004, Mr. Barrett created 38 Spatial, LLC. With the market as client, 38 Spatial's design build ventures included projects on both coasts. With 38Spatial, Inc., begun in 2009, the design-build team proffers client services. The company bridges his two passions, archi-tectural design and construction.

Mr. Barrett studied architectural engineering at Califor-nia Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and received his Bachelor of Architecture at Pratt Institute in New York.

Mr. Butler is a licensed Architect who has been practic-ing design and architecture for over eighteen years, taking on various design, architecture and management capacities with GAP Inc., Pugh + Scarpa, Frank Gehry and Associates, Cooper Carry and Associates. His work has been cited in a variety of design and architec-tural publications from Metropolis, Architecture, Interior Design to Metropolitan Home.

As founder of Butler Architecture and Design, Jackson serves as Creative and Business Director. Butler Archi-tecture and Design is comprised of designers and archi-tects in the fields of architecture, creative design and marketing with work ranging from commercial and retail interior design, custom homes, large-scale residential communities to brand development. Butler also co-created a development company, pollen8 LLC in 2003, specializing in custom residential developments with a focus on green construction materials, practices and life-cycle value.

Butler received his MArch from the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles. Butler lends his depth of experience and immense talent to the 38 Spa-tial design team.

Mr Roche's passion for creative problem solving has generated an impressive roster of satisfied clients. Roché has sought to apply the principles and disciplines of his formal training to the design needs of our clients. Mr Roche joined the design team at 38Spatial in 2009.

Roche was lead brand designer for client companies such as Gap and Smith & Hawken. While working for Bé Design he was responsible for developing brand com-munication strategy for numerous reputable trade-marks, including the Smirnoff red label vodka redesign; the naming of Thomas Keller’s New York City venture,Per se, as well as overseeing brand strategy and creative development for ahost of clients ranging from 24-Hour Fitness to Taylor’s Automatic Refresher.

His architectural portfolio includes The Trueblood Resi-dence in Palm Springs, the Sterling Residence in Napa Valley and the Bure Residence in St. Helena.

Mr. Roche earned a BS in Environmental design from UC Davis and an MArch from UC Berkeley and was awarded the prestigious Branner Travelling Fellowship.

38 Spatial, Inc. is a design and development company with

offices in California and New York. We are a vertically inte-

grated operation, maintaining a unilateral approach to our

business philosophy: design develop dwell. Driven by content

and context, each commission is designed with a sensitive

regard to both site and function, coupling thoughtful design

with today’s technology. From foundation to finish, from pre-

liminary design sketches to post occupancy satisfaction; we

believe every detail is important. Innovation and quality, with-

out loss of a contextual reference, is our first concern. Whether

an interior renovation or new construction, 38 Spatial, Inc.

delivers efficient, cost effective, turn key services.
