INTRODUCTION SPARTAN CHASSIS BRAND STANDARDS GUIDE

This is the official Spartan Chassis logo. The forms of the logo presented in this brand identity standards guide are THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE FORMS; please do not under any circumstances attempt to recreate the logo, or combine the logo with other company or department identifiers. Please do not distort, crop, or re-color the logos.

When resizing these logos, maintain the horizontal and vertical proportions by holding the [shift] key while clicking and dragging a corner grab-handle of the logo area. Alternatively, you may enter dimensions for width and height using EQUAL PERCENTAGES in your editing program’s image properties menu.

The guidelines provided here will allow users to apply the Spartan Chassis brand image in a consistent manner, which is critically important as we seek to increase its brand power in the market place.

We must protect this logo from misuse and alteration; it is for this purpose that these guidelines were created. These guidelines apply to both internal and external use of the logo.

You can access various logo files by entering SparNET into a web browser’s URL window.

RGB color mode (on-screen) The Spartan Chassis logo is available in JPG, PNG and GIF formats with RGB color mode for use on websites, PowerPoint presentations, videos, or any other digital (on-screen) representation.

CMYK color mode (print) The Spartan Chassis logo is available in EPS, PDF, AI, TIF and JPG formats with CMYK color mode for use in full-color printed collateral.

Grayscale mode (print) The Spartan Chassis logo is available in EPS, PDF, AI, TIF and JPG formats with Grayscale mode for use in black & white printed collateral.

Full-Color (RGB and CMYK)Is to be used on all Spartan Chassis branded print and digital collateral whenever possible (see right). There are a limited number of specific exceptions not to use this logo.

Usage Guidelines• CMYK: Full-color print ads,

brochures, banners, signs, etc.

• RGB: Websites, email signatures, PowerPoint presentations, video.

3-ColorIs ONLY used for embroidering the Spartan Chassis logo on fabrics (Note that a 1-color logo would be used for tone-on-tone embroidery, in which case a single thread color would need to be specified).

Usage Guidelines• Embroidery for hats, shirts, etc. black PMS 485 white

2-ColorIs to be used on all Spartan Chassis branded promotional items that require 2 spot-colors due to specific printing processes (see right).

Usage Guidelines• For 2-color imprinting promotional items

(cups, mugs, signs, decals, etc).

• Screen-printing on light-colored t-shirts (if printing on a dark t-shirt, colors used would be white and PMS 485). black/white PMS 485

Usage Guidelines• For 1-color imprinting on DARK

substrates (mugs, pens, etc.). PMS 1877 (Silver)

1-Color (Reversed)Is to be used on Spartan Chassis branded promotional items limited to a one-color imprint that MUST appear against a LIGHT background (see right).

Usage Guidelines• For 1-color imprinting on LIGHT

substrates (mugs, pens, etc.). Black

Grayscale (Black & White) Is to be used on all Spartan Chassis branded grayscale (Black&White) print collateral.

Usage Guidelines• Grayscale (Black&White) print ads for

newspapers or magazine publications.

• Ideal for inexpensive ad placement.

CLEAR SPACE AND RATIOS SPARTAN CHASSIS BRAND STANDARDS GUIDE

The clear space surrounding the Spartan Chassis logo is an integral part of the brand identity and may not be violated. Foreground text or images may not appear in this clear space.

For further clarification showing improper examples of the logo please see the improper use section.

A clear space of 1/3 the height of the Spartan Chassis logo must always be maintained.

Calibri

Calibri is the approved font family for all external company documents and should be used for PowerPoint, intranet and internal documents.

Calibri is a default system font within Windows 7 and Vista operating systems. If you need assistance obtaining this font, please call the IST help-desk.

Charts and Graphs

A few of the most common graphs and charts utilized can be found in the PowerPoint template file.

Charts and graphs should be generated within PowerPoint (data is entered in excel through PowerPoint).

Spartan Chassis Email Signature

All Spartan Chassis employees need to manually change their email signature. The appropriate logo and a short video tutorial is available on SparNET to assist you. Please watch the video before attempting to change your signature.

Your signature should resemble the example on the right, populated with your contact information.

The Spartan Chassis letterhead is available in Microsoft Word (.doc) format and can be accessed by entering SparNET into a web browser.

Business Cards

To order business cards, please complete the Business Card order form on SparNET and return to Lisa Green.

A proof will then be sent for your approval prior to printing.

Business cards are generally ordered on the 10th of every month, and take approximately 2 weeks to fulfill once the order has been submitted.

Do not modify the colors of the logo.

Do not alter, separate, re-size or move the logo elements.

Do not squeeze, stretch or rotate the logo.

Do not use high-contrast or cluttered images for the background.

Do not impede on the intended clear space around the logo.
