Are you interested in becoming a CERT Member and helping your family, friends and neighbors in a time of need? Southwest General Health Center is pleased to announce a new CERT Basic Training Class Beginning September 2015- date TBD The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates citizens how to be more prepared to assist themselves, their family and their neighbors in the event of a disaster. CERT members may also assist their city throughout the year at community events, in the aftermath of severe weather or at any other venue where city leaders need the assistance of additional trained personnel. The program includes disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact your area and trains you in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. Training consists of 8 sessions of 3 hours each plus a drill. Southwest General Health Center in conjunction with the cities listed below have blended our resources, training and experience for the CERT Academy.
