A Message from our ChairmanWelcome Ladies and Gentlemen to 'Singin' in the Rain'. This is the first time in our history that we have put on this Show, known by some as the greatest musical ever. The Show is fantastic and includes many well known songs that I know you willrecognise and be singing along to. Also watch out for the Tap Numbers, they are spectacular!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their help and support in putting this Show together, you all have, asever, worked hard to ensure this is a memorable performance for all involved from the Front of House Team to the Performersonstage to the Production Team and to the Backstage Crew. Thank you!

Now, just a note on our Spring/Summer Production last year; 'High Society'. We were nominated for 'Best Supporting Actor'and 'Best Supporting Actress' by the North EssexTheatre Guild (NETG) which was fantastic! We also won two awards; 'BestMusical in 2010' and 'Best Production for 2010', which is the top award to be won, from NODA for our district. This is a greathonour and a wonderful way to thank the Cast and Crew for all they did.

We are always looking for new Members but not just people onstage. To put aProduction like this together there's a Team of around 65 people! As long as you are 7years old and over, you could be part of this Family.

We have a growing Youth section called 'CMTS Youth Performers'. This is for thoseyoung people aged between 7 and 18, who have a passion for all things musical theatre! Please visit our website for more details on when the Youth Performers rehearse andwhat they are up to in the next couple of months. Join them and become 'The NextGeneration !'

We also have our Traditional Family Pantomime which this year will be 'Pinocchio'. Pantorehearsals start on Thursday 1st September 2011; Why not come along to our HQ andsee what it's all about and have a cup oftea as well!

Wouldn't you love to be part of this? We meet and rehearse twice a week in the eveningat our own HQ, why not come along and see what we get up to to help make your mindup. Don't put it off, bring a Friend with you, there's no obligation, but once you havebeen 'bitten by the bug', you're in!

Adapted from the 1952 film of the same name, the story is set in Hollywood in the waning days of thesilent film era. It focuses on romantic lead Don Lockwood, his sidekick Cosmo Brown, aspiring actressKathy Seldon and Lockwood's leading lady Lina Lamont, whose less than dulcet vocal tones do not lendthemselves to talking pictures. After the success of the first "talkie", "The JazzSinger" the head of thestudio, R.E Simpson decided he has no choice but to jump on the bandwagon with mixed results .
