YOUR WRISTBAND is your entry ticket to all workshop classes and parties. Put it on right after registration. The color of your wristband is specific to your level.

RECORDING CLASSES You can of course film or take pictures during Leapin‘ Lindy. However, this does not always apply to your class. Please ask your teachers in case you wish to record class material at the end of class. You are not allowed to publish teaching material online without permission of the instructors.

Infringing on the stated rules on purpose can be a reason for your exclusion from Leapin‘ Lindy without compensation.

The pictures and footage of the official photogra-pher may be published on the website and on social media. If you do not want to appear in a picture, ple-ase tell the photographer.

INSURANCE is the participants‘ own responsibility. Leapin‘ Lindy does not take liability.

LOST AND FOUND items will be collected at Neufeld and in the end brought to the sunday party.

Keep your valuables with you at all times. Please take them out of the changing rooms during classes and be prudent during the parties as Leapin‘ Lindy does not take any liability for stolen or lost goods.

The Hot Sugar Band (FRA)The Hot Sugar Band is a seriously swinging time machine that takes you right back to the 1930s ballrooms of Harlem. Their motto is to swing and make everybody around swing with them. They play their own arrangements

Home Jazz Band (LIT) feat. Milda StasaitytéThe Home Jazz Band are a swing band around jazz dancer and musician Mindaugas Bikaus-kas, also know as a member of the Rhythm Jun-kies and the Home Jazz Five. Inspired by jazz age masters they play well known standards composed by musicians like Duke Ellington, Fats Waller and Jelly Roll Morton. Their reper-toire also includes some rare swing era jewels you may never have heard live before.

of classics by Fats Waller, Count Basie, Flet-cher Wallen and Django Reinhardt. The Hot Sugar Band is one of the brightest stars in the swing dance scene. Their quality has taken them to the best international dance events. We are looking forward to having them for the second time at Leapin’ Lindy.

“As long as it really swings, anything goes. Clearly, 30ies and 40ies big bands have the highest energy. As a DJ, I am constantly trying to find the right mix between old and new.“

Fräulein Minnie (CH)Fräulein Minnie has been a passionate Lindy Hop, Charleston and Balboa dan-cer as well as a teacher and DJ for many years. She not only loves the sparkling figu-res and moves of the dance but also the music that makes people move that way. Being a DJ has enabled her to discover a whole new world beyond the dance, a world full of musical pearls and amazing stories.

DJ Bubbles (CA/PL)Ann began swing dancing in Waterloo, Canada. Since finding her first songs, she has DJed there until she moved to Switzerland for her PhD. Dig-ging through old stuff and new, small group and big band, North American and European, she aims to create an atmosphere worthy of creativi-ty and playing around with the dance.

Lisa Minder & Mathieu Huruguen (CH | Bern/Lausanne)Since she fell in love with Lindy Hop about twelve years ago, dancing and traveling to many interna-tional workshops became an important part of her life. She enjoys the variety of the dance and expands her passion with other styles like Salsa, Afro dances, Hip Hop/Locking and Blues. Lisa has been teaching for about nine years. Beside part-ner-communication, improvisation and musicali-ty, she wants to share the joy of Lindy Hop.

Mathieu took his first Lindy Hop class about five years ago in Grenoble and never stopped swing dancing since then. In Vancouver he deepened his love of social dancing and enriched his style. He is now teaching regularly in Lausanne and Bern (with Lisa), sharing his love and passion for this fun and creative dance with his students.

This year Leapin’ Lindy has to say farewell to its beautiful party venue at the Casino. Thus, it is time to capture our memories of the place and take some souvenir photos. To make things a little more exciting, we have decided to turn this into a little challenge:

If you had to capture Lindy Hop for eternity in one photograph, what would that look like?

Don’t be shy and capture your wildest moves and poses. With a little luck you will win one of three great prices:

Conditions:

• Photos have to be taken at the Friday party • 2 persons per picture• 1 instant camera shot per team• Talon with photo must be filled out

An impartial jury will judge the poses and choo-se the three winning teams. The award presenta-tion will take place at the Saturday party around midnight.
