Soft Gelatin Capsule Introduction

Soft gelatin capsule has being more and more widely applied in various field, such as

pharmacy, nutriceutical and cosmetic. The soft gelatin capsule is a sealed capsule usually filled

with liquid and has a fortified and tough shell consist of gelatin and glycerol. Softgel

Encapsulation Machine is used to encapsulate liquid, suspension, past particle quantitatively in

sealed capsules of various size and shape.

Different from the two-step manufacturing (shaping and filling) of hard gelatin capsule, the

soft gelatin capsules is made one on a rotating mould in a continuous one-step operation. Gelatin

skin made of gelatin and glycerol passes through two die rolls opposite and continuously rotating

in reverse cycles and forms its shape in the mould cavities. The size and shape of the soft gelatin

capsule are determined by the mould cavities. Material injecting and gelatin film sealing is carried

out in simultaneously. And the filling process just finished before the finish of sealing.

Feature of Soft Gelatin Capsule

1. The soft gelatin capsule has dapper and beautiful appearance. Compared to tablet pills, it

features faster disintegration speed, higher bioavailability and convenient ingestion,

strorage and taking along.

YWJ100-II fully automatic softgel encapsulation machine is elaborately designed on the base of

old YWJ100-IP and according to the requirements of GMP standard. It is a simple and efficient

laboratory machine mainly for R&D or small scale production of softgel capsule products in

laboratories or pharmaceutical researching insitutes.

The whole set of the production line is simple and efficient with small space. It includes a main

machine, control system, water-cooling system, lubrication oil saving system, a dryer, one set of

mould, as well as an auxiliary HJG100-I gelatin reactor. All the materials for the wholes set of the

equipment are well selected to meet the GMP requirement, make it applicable for medical, nutrition,

Fluid Bed Drying can be used for shape forming and final drying of softgel capsules. The tumbler

quantity can be choose as the production requirement. Each tumbler can rotate in both directors. The

tumbler can be controlled automatic by PLC system with encapsulation machine when connected to

the master station during forming process, or controlled by manually during pre-drying process. Water

content in the gelatin film can be reduced from 45% to 35% during the forming process; and it can be

decreased to around 25% in the pre-drying process.
