COMPANY PROFILE AND REFERENCE LIST The Lenzini's Family has been involved in the Sugar Industry and Agro-Industry fields since 1946 by the "Ferdinando Lenzini" Company. In 1973 Ferdinando's son, Mr. Gustavo Lenzini, electrical engineer, built at Legnaro (Padova) a new workshop to make equipment and machinery for sugar industry, with name C.I.E.M. In 1976 by merging the "Ferdinando Lenzini" Company, "S.M.I. SRL" was created which, in 1976 incorporated the "Ferdinando Lenzini" Company and went on its traditional field of activity. A few years later, Companies such as "NEXUS SpA" and "MCF SRL" where included in the partnership. Now we are a group of Companies with more than 50 years of experience in Sugar - Chemical Industry and in many branch of Food & Beverage Industry. For this reasons we are well known in Italy as well as abroad as a Private Independent Company specialised in construction and erection of process plants. We have a very strong permanent staff, among Engineers and skilled technicians with a wide range of experience in designing, manufacturing, erection, training and supervision on the mentioned types of industrial plants. The Company stretches over an area of 6.000 m2, 1.500 of which are covered. The buildings are equipped with overhead travelling cranes and heavy equipment that are suitable for any mechanical work and mechanical machining. When we assemble plants and equipment for Sugar Factories, normally we use equipment made in our workshop as well as purchased from other Firms. A large number of subsidiary small Companies can be used in case of compelling and important works. We are designers and manufacturers of machinery for sugar processing and we are in close touch with all the Italian sugar factories. Very well known is also our close co-operation with the specialized for Agricultural University of Padua and for Industrial Chemical University of Ferrara to development new technologies in the sugar production process based to the new world-wide standard requirements We can organise and provide also people training stages near Italian or abroad sugar factories and/or Universities.

and continuos centrifugals for sugar and chemical industry In our activity we use our know-how and technological engineering experience and in our field we are in possession of significant patents. Beside plants supply, which are normally "turn-key" requested and which have episodic peculiarity, we are manufacturing of automatic valves pneumatically operated, lime milk plant, automatic beet sample system, special vacuum pan mixer, etc. which are well known and appreciate in every Italian and foreign sugar factory.
