It does not have to be difficult to develop your first socialpromotional video for your

business.

Getting It On You Tube

To start out with, you will want to set up a You Tube channel

account. About as hard as settingup an email account.

This is the major kick off and you will see why before we are done

here.

Planning The Video

KIS also known as Keep It Simple.For your first video we are

going to recommend that youbuild a video slide show.

Complete with transitionsand title overlays

Windows Movie Maker

So going with the slide show video, you will be taking a series of photographs of your business

in order to produce yourfirst movie.

Windows Movie Maker is a great place to start building your video.

Windows 7 Issues

Windows XP and Vista both have Windows Movie Maker built in.

Windows 7 does not have MovieMaker built in, so you have to

download a free versionfrom Microsoft.

Which Version?

For Windows 7 there are actually 2versions you can get and werecommend both if you plan

on doing more than onevideo.

Movie Maker 6.0

The Photography

Start your shoot with the front entrance of your business

unless you manufactureand sell very specific products.

If what you are looking to promoteis a specific product, then start there.

15 to 25 Good Photographs

You are going to want to work with about 15 to 25 good quality

photographs to create your video.

Remember, you are creating Social Media, so do not be

stuffy about it.

Music Or Narration?

Now you have to decide whether youwant to use music or narration in

your video.

You could use both.Caution: If you use music in the background there are legalities.

Legalities Of Music Usage

If you do decide to use music in thebackground, you can't just pick

any old song and use it.

Doing so could cost you some serious legal fees and fines.

Royalty Free, Copy Left.......

Using your favorite song will most likely be a copyright violation.

Use royalty free, copy left or public domain music instead.

Look these up on the web.Make sure you get your license.

Publishing

This isn't meant to be an all encompassing guide to video

production.

Once you have made your first video, it's time to publish it on

You Tube.

Upload, Link And Cross Link

Once your video is uploaded on YouTube, it's published. Meta tagthe video with the proper keywords for the search enginesand start to link the video in

to your Facebook account andTwitter account.

In the description section of your video post, start it off with a link

to your web site.Use the full http://www address.

Embedding Your Video

Just about every You Tube video canbe embedded onto a web site.

There are options on You Tube for you to do just that.

So embed your video on your web page.

Share, Share, Share

Video embedding is one option, linkingit is yet another, and you can also

email the video to people.

Use all the options and make sure you get the links on both Twitter

and Facebook for the world to see.
