School Survey - June 2011

• Survey carried out in association with Adroit-e Research

• Online survey completed by 354 pupils (mainly years 8, 9 and 10) and 44 teachers followed by data driven discussions

• Main conclusions:– Vast majority of students use FB and have smart

phones– Teachers are suspicious of uses within school but see

the potential

• Teachers have been sacked for inappropriate use of Facebook

• Use your common sense!• Delete any inappropriate comments made by

students and follow it up• Always keep an eye on the page and remove

from FB if no longer being used• IT policy
