What is ‘SETUP’?

• A mutual Partnership between NORDIK,

Social Enterprise & Entrepreneurship

(SEE) North Regional Partnership,

Community Development Corporation

of Sault Ste Marie, and Millworks Centre

for Entrepreneurship

• Millworks will be providing business

training sessions for Social Entrepreneurs

– twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday –

1-4 PM) at their downtown location

• Interested participants will learn to how

build their unique business plan using

an enhanced version of the Business

Model Canvas

• Those who complete the training and

successfully build their business plan are

automatically eligible to apply for $15k

CDC loan, provided at the lowest

possible rate

Why SETUP?

• On-going Peer Support Network

• Social Enterprises are able to support their communities in unique areas,

having peers of like-minded Entrepreneurs are invaluable for growing impact

• Social Enterprises are helping Northern Ontario communities address social,

environmental and cultural needs, while also adding to their local economies

• SETUP process is designed to help Social Entrepreneurs succeed in both

developing their business plans as well as building and maintaining working

relationships with their local business community
