Heading into its 10th season, SoCalCross has established California as an epicenter of cyclocross in the United States. By taking a traditionally winter sport and adding a unique sun soaked twist, SoCalCross has done its part to make cyclocross the fastest growing sport in the US. Bolstered by an over 600% growth rate since the inaugural season, the 2014 SoCalCross footprint expands all the way from San Diego to San Francisco and will again draw competitors ranging from the world’s best to families out for two wheeled quality time. !The goal of SoCalCross is to provide a fun, welcoming and competitive environment that mentors new riders of all ages and enables elite racers to realize their full potential while contributing to the overall growth of cycling both as a sport and a lifestyle.

Who Participates in SoCalCross?The sport that is a little bit of everything attracts a little bit of everyone from across the cycling spectrum. In a CX race it is normal to see mountain bikers, gravel grinders, roadies, urban cyclists, and even triathletes all duking it out on the same course. 2013 had over 2,000 individuals participate in at least one event with 65% competing more than five times. Total race registrations tallied 5,951 - the third consecutive year over 5k.

Add flavor to the race course and make your brand stand out. Naming rights are $5,000 per racing category or feature for the entire season. Categories and course features will be referred to be their branded name in all promotional materials, course descriptions, race recaps, press releases and features will be covered with your logo at the venue. Suggested categories and features include: Kid’s Race, Fly-over Ramp, Barriers, Sand Traps, Run Ups, Fixed Gear CX, Single Speed, Master Men’s, Women’s Elite, Men’s Elite, and logo wapping the SoCalCross Trailer.

Spaces in our vendor expo area can be purchased on a race-by-race basis. This is a great way to connect directly to your audience and promote your brand. Show off your wares, hand out samples, or make some sales. It’s up to you!

2014 Schedule For 2014, there are 17 race weekends slated for the SoCalCross Prestige Series. !While many venues return, there are some that will make their debut this season. It is our aim to provide everyone who participates with a “hometown” race. SoCalCross continues into 2015 with the Cross Fever Series- a great opportunity for newer racers to gain valuable experience while enabling Elites to maintain fitness leading up to Nationals and Worlds.

2014 Schedule A new addition is the California Cyclocross Series which will run concurrently with SCPS. CACX is a partnership with our NorCal friends to provide California’s Elite racers with a deep level of competition that will groom California’s top racers for the National and World Championships !This first time ever that the two largest cycling regions in the US will compete head to head during the regular season. !The marketing potential will grow exponentially across the region as CACX travels through California gaining momentum and gathering points to see who is the best in the Golden State!
