Sunday Worship & Fellowship…

Sunday Worship and Fellowship Church service is at 8:30

AM each and every Sunday in the Hole-in the wall. Pastor

Sco Bailey will lead us in worship again this year. Com-

munion is held the first Sunday of each month. Coffee

will be provided before Sunday services.

We are asking all of the wonderful folks here at Sundance

help with a season long food drive, by bringing cans of

food items to the ac)vity office for the Casa Grande food

bank. We also give money to the food bank to get things

for the needy as they can buy in bulk of the things they

need most, like beans and rice. Ray and Shari visit with the

food bank folks at the end of our season to find out where

our church can help with their needs. The food bank is one

of many out reach projects our church has in place.

As in the past years, this year we are having our school

children’s underwear drive. Sizes are girls 6-16 or small

ladies sizes, boy’s sizes 6-16. Drop off site is in the Ac)vity

Room (laundry basket marked for this use) we will have

this underwear drive all winter. This will be helping the

Casa Grande school children. If you have any ques)ons ask

the host on duty, call me, or drop by my site (267). Please

help with this project.

Our third project is ge<ng items for the Casa Grande

school nurse's systems, this is done three )mes a season.

The Casa Grande Hospital Children toy drive went

off great. These toys are given to children who are in the

hospital to make them feel be#er.

Our last church service this season will be April 5, 2015

Thanks everyone for your

SUPPORT

Bible Study…

We are continuing our study of Angels and should finish it this month. Over the past weeks, we have had some very interesting discussions of good angels, Satan, demons, fallen angels, and the full armor of God.

Once we finish this study we start a new series on Elijah: Living Securely in an Insecure World. Plan to join us on Thursdays in the Hang Out room from 1 - 2:30 pm.

Those new books will also be $5.50 which you can get at our meetings or at my house, Lot 29.

Come to our group. Listen to our stories that are being read. Some fun, some sad, but all (well almost all!) interesting!! We have a good group and a fun time. R C Cars..

Well, RC car racing is well underway, most racers are here now, and we have adjusted to our fantastic new paved track. As men-tioned last month, we worked as a team to build a new drivers stand, which awaits it's final coat of paint and a few signs as I type this report. To clear up some apparent confusion, this stand is not a spectator stand, but is for RC drivers to enhance their view of the track. We continue to welcome spectators, and suggest that you bring a chair, and sit back a few feet from the safety fence. Join us Monday, Wednesday, and most Friday's at 2:00 PM. Lo-cated in the sports complex, between shuffleboard and pickle ball. See you at the track! Bob Wood #43

Sundance Quilters…

The quilt room has been bustling with many sewers and quilters making beautiful items. The room is being used every day so pick a day that works for you and come sew, chat, and laugh with us. We have had several fun classes already and more are planned for February.

Our next Shop Hop will be Monday Feb 16th. We will be heading up to the Phoenix area to visit a number of quilt shops and lunch out.

We had 59 ladies at our January luncheon. The February luncheon will be Wednesday February 11th. Tickets will be available from Sally Brown or Sue Roberts. It is always a fun time.

2015 Quilt Show at Sundance is Saturday, Feb. 28

Don’t miss this year’s Quilt Show featuring over 150 quilts crafted by our own talented quilters and those at Fairways, our sister park, too. The quilts and other quilted items will be on display at the Hole-in-the-Wall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28th. This is the 4th year. Our combined quilters have been busy creating charity/community quilts that are donated to local organizations. During the show, those will be on display on the fence around the pool area. In addition, there will be assorted quilted items for sale. Come and get great inspiration or just come to admire what your neighbors have created.

Lunch and beverages will be available from 11 a.m. - 3p.m. Freshly-grilled hamburgers or gourmet polish sausage can be purchased for $6 which includes condiments, chips, a cookie and coffee or lemonade. A snack plate of a cookie and drink can be purchased for $1.

There will also be a drawing for a quilt. Sundance and Fairways take turns creating the opportunity quilt as a fund-raiser. This year, Sun-dance provided an amazing queen-sized quilt in the modified Log Cabin design in hues of greens and golds. The quilt was created by Lucienne Colburne and Caroline McDonald with Sherry Cain completing the binding. The quilt is valued at over $1,000. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Proceeds from the lunch and raffle quilt are used to purchase fabric and supplies to make quilts for community chari-ties.

Sundance and Fairways are also participating with the Fiesta Grande and Palm Creek quilters who will exhibit their quilts the same day at

their parks. Special door prizes will be available. So, come see what our talented quilters have created, them continue your day visiting

the other shows.

Attention Everyone!

What are you allergic to? If nothing congratulations! However, if you have

allergies you know how bad they can make you feel! As we all get older our

sense of smell is greatly affected especially by things that we all used to love.

Remember how romantic aftershave on your man or perfume on your lady

made you feel! WELL not anymore. Many of us in the park get headaches (yes

actual ones) or WORSE from the chemicals in the perfumes, lotions, soaps, etc.

We also are affected by any fragrances, even from flowers! Please, if coming

to any public room, do not use scented lotions, aftershave, perfumes etc. as you

never know when you’ll be asked to kindly wash it off. We love you but your

fragrant smell is killing us! Remember if you have used it for a long time, you

can’t smell it on yourself but others can smell you as soon as you arrive and

long after you are gone!
