Oneofthefewthingsthatnevergooutofstyleisamystery.PerhapstheoldestofthesegoesallthewaybacktoOedipusRex,inwhichtheking"detec?ve",onthetrailoftheevilcreaturewhosecluessuggesthekilledhisownfatherandmarriedhisownmother,discoversthat(spoileralerthere)hehimselfwastheVILLIAN!TheGreekscalledthisatragedy,butprobablymostpeopleleJthetheatreimpressedbythecleverwri?ng.Ashrewdmysteryisindeed?meless.

SomemysterieshaverisenfromobscuritytoturnoutmorerelevanttodaythantheywerewhenwriLen,asisthecasewithSmokeandMirrors,conceivedinthe1990'sasastarringvehicleforthewriterhimself,awell-knownsoapoperaactor.Inthosedays,theworldofmoviemakingwass?llobscure.TobegintolearnorevenunderstandthecraJ,itwasnecessarytotakenumerousclassesorattheleasthavereadyaccesstoagreatdealofmoney.Today,everymovie,TVortheatershowcomeswithextrasbehindthescenes,oreventhedirectorhimselfoffering?pstothebuddingar?stinthecommentaryorwithshortfilmsaLachedasteaserstotheproject.Everyoneinvolvednowknowswhatawriter,producer,publicistordirectordoes.
