Introduction 4. 1-learn how does the smart sensor works through the different experience . 2. Identify the input and output of the sensor. Activity 1(Evading Motion Detection) We turned on the device. We measured the extent of the device. We found out that there are some materials influence. 5. Motion sensor Can tell about any movement (INPUT) within the specified range by a beep alarm (OUTPUT). In , there are some materials that influence sensor such as ( polystyrene wood cardboard ). Activity 1(Evading Motion Detector) 6. Activity 2:(Taking A Tour Of Some (Sensor Identify the inputs and outputs of different sensors. 7. Activity 2(Taking A Tour Of Some Sensor) OutputInput SoundMotion SoundTouching or Sound MotionSound Sensors can be used to detect an input and produce the corresponding output. Processing Electric Circuit Electric Circuit Electric Circuit 8. Activity 3(Making A Microphone) 1- Test the two films of the PVDF the (flexible or Rigid )and see which one is better to deliver using a ( balloon , plastic cup , loudspeaker and a tap ). 2-Compare between the two PVDF films (flexible or Rigid ). 9. Activity 3(Making a Microphone)- Part 2-With Substance- RigidFlexible MoreLessFlick LessMoreBlow LessMoreScratch LessMoreTalk we can see that the flexible film PVDF is more sensitive than the Rigid film . 11. Activity 4 ( Exploring The Piezo Effect ) Understand what PVDF is made of . Piezoelectric Effect: is the ability of certain materials to generate an electric charge in response to applied mechanical stress. 12. In conclusion we can say that the PVDF is a polymer . 13. Activity 5 (Measuring Sensor Response) Observe the voltage produces by the PVDF film. Connect the PVDF to the Lapbro to the laptop. Observe the voltage produced. The harder the flick, the more voltage produced. 14. Activity 5 (Measuring Sensor Response) 15. Design a coin counter using a PVDF sensor. Measure the mass of 3 coins. Connect the Lapbro to the laptop. Measure the voltage produced by each coin. 16. (With known mass) (With unknown mass): Voltage produced = 0.18 v Using the chart => The unknown mass = 3.3 g In ; we can use the PVDF to know which coin is inserted in the coin counter 0 1 2 3 4 5 0.13 0.2 0.26 Voltage vs. Mass Voltage vs. Mass V3v2v1MassSamp le: 0.15v0.2v0.25v3.66g1 0.1v0.2v0.1v2.413g2 0.3v0.3v0.2vg4.69 8 3 Average 0.2v 0.13v 0.26v 17. Product Idea: Walk And Read Our project aims to develop the use of smart sensors to benefit Qatar and benefit achieve its vision for 2030 Technology. Our project is about a smart sensor that is mounted in the ground of the Corniche. It works with touch and it connects electrical circuit that begins to give some tips of news that appears on Corniche floor or sides supported by lights. We expect that the important of this project is to read the guidance paintings or other important historical dates in Qatar. What attracted us to this project is the reluctance of pedestrians to read the signs and important events in Qatar , this is one of the best way to solve this issue and make people from all around the world learn more about Qatar and its community. 18. Walk And Read We were inspired by these amazing ideas in Holland. 19. Walk And Read 1-Achieve the vision of Qatar in 2030 . 2- make it more developing by using the smart sensors and technology. 3-make the Cornish more beautiful . 20. Walk And Read 1- The sensor will trigger when someone comes nearby. 2- This project will not spend a lot of electricity (economic). 3-The used sensors are available in Qatar. 4-This can be a way to attract pedestrians to the Corniche. 21. Walk And Read A pressure sensor measures pressure, typically of gases or liquids. Pressure is an expression of the force required to stop a fluid from expanding, and is usually stated in terms of force per unit area. A pressure sensor usually acts as a transducer; it generates a signal as a function of the pressure imposed. For the purposes of this article, such a signal is electrical 22. Walk And Read Lighting column The place were the light will go out reflected on the ground The place were the words will appear The place of the smart sensor 23. Walk And Read Solving the problem of the pedestrian in reading signs ,news ,or important events in Qatar .Also make cornich more beautiful. Lighting column The place were the light will go out reflected on the ground The place were the words will appear The place of the smart sensor 24. 1-The project can be used at public places like cornich. 2-The project needs more research and interest. 3- We recommend to add voice output to use it clearly in the morning time because projector cant be clear enough . Walk And Read 25. Conclusion In the end of all of these activities, and this invention we would like to say that AL-Bairaq is a large and significant impact in our lives where it had been the biggest invention of using the smart sensors and different uses also giving us the opportunity to invent something new using smart sensors. 26. Acknowledgment Many thanks to my teachers, school and AL-Bairaq team from Center for Advanced Materials (CAM), Qatar University for supporting us during our journey with a AL-Bairaq. Also, I would like to thank the sponsors UNESCO, Qatar National Commission, Ras Gas, Maersk and Shell.
