deeds. There is no contention between us and you. Allah

• “Man” – ‘ insaan ’ is prone to

“forgetfulness” - ‘nis-yaan’.

• Here (As-Swolah), is the remedy lest we become

forgetful and heedless !


• Are we not the servant / slave of Allah?

• If so, then how do we serve or worship Him?


• Commandment – - means “to establish,

put upright or erect, build, ” which shares the

same root as the word – - meaning:

• “straightness; sincerity; rectitude; integrity, true;

authentic, consistent,” etc.

• And ‘Swolah’ is prescribed as the basis (pillars) for

our daily ‘remembrance’ of our ROBB (Lord, God,

““IfIf anyone withdraws himself from remembrance anyone withdraws himself from remembrance

of Most Graciousof Most Gracious, We appoint for him an , We appoint for him an evil one evil one

• It is clear that Muslims who do not uphold and

consistently perform their obligatory Swolah

inevitably fall prey into following Satan’s

footsteps, drawn into sins, due to the temptations

and the glitters of the love for the world.

face, reminding them to keep to fulfilling their

Such is the importance of Such is the importance of SwolahSwolah that we are that we are

are humble (KHAA-SHI-’EEN).”
