deeds. There is no contention between us and you. Allah

• Are we not the servant / slave of Allah?

• If so, then how do we serve or worship Him?


• Commandment – - means “to establish,

put upright or erect, build, ” which shares the

same root as the word – - meaning:

• “straightness; sincerity; rectitude; integrity, true;

authentic, consistent,” etc.


• “Man” – ‘ insaan ’ is prone to

“forgetfulness” - ‘nis-yaan’.

• Here is the remedy (As-Swolah), lest we become

forgetful and heedless !


““If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of Most Gracious, If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of Most Gracious,

We appoint for him an evil one to be an intimate companion to him. We appoint for him an evil one to be an intimate companion to him.

being. We will reap from its benefit in this world being. We will reap from its benefit in this world

and shall fully benefit from its fruits (of eternal and shall fully benefit from its fruits (of eternal

“Swolah” is such a special act of devotion, because:

are humble (khaa-shi-’een).”

(Qur’an: Baqarah: 2: 45)

make your faith of no effect.

For Allah is to all people most surely full of kindness, Most

Merciful..“

“The Believers must (eventually) win through (become truly

successful) . Those who humble themselves (khaa-shi’uun) in

their prayers (swolah); “

(Qur’an: al-Mu’minun: 23: 1-2)


““And who (strictly) guard their prayers (swolah).”

“(What separates) Between a person and disbelief (kufr),

is the discarding or the abandonment of (his performing

the obligatory prayer) swolah”

(Hadith reported by Ahmad, Ibnu Majah, Abu Dawud and Muslim)
