Simple Handling Through Remote Control.The S.KI Tipper Semi-Trailer with the S.KI Control App.

The S.KI Control app controls important functions on the appropriately equipped S.KI tipper semi-trailer via a smartphone or tablet.

These functions also include typical tasks for work with a road paver. An automatic tarpaulin is also remotely controlled, as is the operation of the pneumatically folding under-ride guard. Safe and comfortable unloading to the paver is ensured by an adjustable braking force on the paver brake on an incline or on slopes.

Cameras monitor the freight in the body, as well as the area behind the trailer. The camera image is displayed on the smartphone or tablet.

A Detailed Look at the App.From the Simplest to the Most Demanding.

Tasks of extremely varying complexity can be undertaken using the S.KI Control app. Some-times simple movements require a great deal of power. The app offers this by controlling elements such as the pneumatically folded underride guard or the sliding tarpaulin. Parameters can be checked and analysed, such as with the tipping process assistant. Controlled intervention can be carried out with elements such as the tyre re-pressurisation system or axle load compensation.

The tilt angle assistant checks the horizontal position before tipping to minimise the risk of the trailer tipping over.

The articulation angle assistant checks the exact alignment of the tractor with the trailer. Both should be exactly in line for optimum safety when tipping.

The S.KI Control app is available for smartphones and tablets with Android or iOS operating systems and can be customised for specific vehicles to prevent incorrect operation.

With the help of two cameras the outflow of the bulk material in the cargo space, as well as the rear area during tipping and manoeuvring at the road paver, can be monitored live using the app.

The tyre pressure monitoring and re-pressurisa-tion system actively monitors the tyre pressure in each individual tyre and makes it possible to continue driving a limited distance to reach a workshop even in cases of slow pressure loss.

The S.KI Control app allows default settings to be established for three different operating modes for the hydraulic hinged tailgate. When trans-porting high-volume bulk material, the maximum opening angle ensures damage-free unloading.

The electrically-powered sliding tarpaulin, controlled via the S.KI Control app, allows unloading to be performed while only partially open. This saves time and helps to maintain the correct asphalt temperature. The quick opening and closing of the trough covering also provides considerable time savings and greater work safety.

Weighing system reliably indicates the weight of the bulk material in the body. Over-loading can thus be avoided.

Automatic lowering of the pneumatic suspension in the running gear when unloading provides greater stability due to a lower centre of gravity.

Automatic starting aid increases traction through automatic raising of the lift axle if the truck drive axle loses grip during the drive-off process.

Automatic axle load compensation

The automatic axle load compensation optimises the load distribution and makes sure the axle loads are balanced when the trough is not loaded evenly.

Adjustable paver brake allows

adjustment of the brake pressure when working with a road paver and is controlled via the smart-phone app.

Rear wall remote control: Three different operating modes can be pre-set and acti-vated during the tipping process.

Tipping angle assistant measures the exact tipping angle via a sensor at the tipping bearing and automatically brakes if the body is tilted during travel.

Articulation angle assistant meas-ures the position of the tractor unit relative to the trailer during loading and unloading. Ideally they should be perfectly aligned.

Tilt angle assistant measures the lateral tilt of the vehicle on uneven surfaces before the tipping process begins. If the lateral tilt is too large the tipping process is stopped.

Cargo area camera (optional) shows a current video image in the smartphone app via a WiFi connection, enabling monitoring of the loading processes.

Rear area camera (optional) with a WiFi connection shows the manoeuvring area behind the trailer in the smartphone app. This makes manoeuvring and tipping easier.

Electronic pneumatic suspension

provides for suspension comfort independently of the load as well as optimal road holding, and enables differentiated setting of the running gear.

Tyre pressure monitoring with re-pressurisation function automatically re- establishes the preset air pressure in the individual tyres of the running gear and emits a warning in the case of slow, continual air leakage so as to avoid immobilisation.

Remote control for the electric tarpaulin (optional) enables quick load securing via a smartphone app in approx. 25 seconds. Climbing onto the working platform and manual handling of the tarpaulin are no longer necessary.

Pneumatic underride guard can be folded up and down via a smartphone button. The position of the underride guard is also displayed.

Remote control via the smart-phone app enables the above-mentioned func-tions to be controlled independently of the tractor unit. Permanently installed switches in the driver's cab are superfluous. For remote control a standard WiFi-capable mobile device (smartphone or tablet) can be used.

S.KI SOLID and LIGHT with Rounded Steel Body.A Vast Amount of Experience in One Trailer.

To increase suitability for everyday use we have combined safety with profitability and developed a rounded steel body with an optimised cross-section which provides tangible benefits. A broader floor zone with a reinforced floor plate provides more surface for the load and thus a lower tipping centre of gravity. This also reduces the load height, which provides the trailer with greater stabil-ity on the road and, above all, enables safer movement on uneven terrain.

The design of the SR body family enables you to select the floor and side wall thick-nesses to match the actual demands of the trailer's daily usage. That enables a low unladen weight to be achieved from which you can profit through increased payload. Low procurement and repair costs make this an economical alternative to aluminium bodies.

The automatic lowering function provides greater stability when tipping and can be deactivated if necessary.

We have lowered the body's centre of gravity through the broader floor design. The reduced load height provides the tipper trailer with greater driving stability and improved safety.

The right tailgate solution for the load deter-mines the efficiency of your tipper trailer. Select the pendulum tailgate which best suits the task. The external pendulum tail-gate is the right choice for frequent partial unloading of bulk goods. The internal tailgate with a chute is recommended for guided unloading to a road paver. In addition, we can also equip the pendulum tailgate with a grain chute as necessary. External tailgates and combi-doors are equipped with a double pendulum bearing to provide the best-possible opening cross-section. Hydraulic tailgates are available as an exter-nal variant or with a chute for the rounded steel body.

The locking elements are arranged outside the tipping area. Cylinders and lines are mounted in protected positions on the body.

Powerful equipment ensures that the maximum opening is achieved in the shortest possible time and it closes just as promptly. When transporting high-volume bulk material, the maximum opening angle ensures damage-free unloading.

The integrated pendulum function opens the tail-gate – without the need for a drive – according to the body slope.

The Hydraulic Rear Tailgate. Ideal for Frequent Tipping and for Heavy Granulated Materials.

Under automatic operation the hydraulic tailgate opens up quickly and fully immedi-ately after the beginning of the tipping pro-cess. This enables the opening to be at a maximum for unimpeded material dispatch when unloading bulky goods. An accurate dispensing of loads is similarly possible by adjusting the opening angle. The pendulum function may be selected for use on road finishers. The rear wall remains locked for emptying using the optional grain chute.

Combi-Doors for Versatility.For Every Construction Site Throughout Europe.

Our tailgate systems fulfil all of the require-ments placed on a tipper semi-trailer when unloading on a construction site. The combi-door offers unbeatable versatility by combining a pendulum tailgate with a wing door. We offer the combi-door with robust hinge bearings as a two-wing version; with one grain chute as a standard feature or with two grain chutes upon request.

When operated as a pendulum tailgate via the top hinge, the combi-door allows bulk goods to be rapidly unloaded. The com-bi-door's grain chute enables the controlled unloading of fine-grain goods. In contrast, opening the wing doors and locking them to the side walls permits the entire width of the body to be used for loading and unloading cargo such as heavy packaged goods or pallet goods.

The combi-door possesses a pendulum frame. This allows it to open like a pendulum tailgate.

The opened wing doors can be locked to the sides of the body.

When using the grain chute to unload the trailer, pegs block the hook lock.

Opening the grain chute in the combi-door enables precise quantities to be unloaded.

The hydraulic tailgate can optionally also be fitted with a grain chute.

S.KI tipper semi-trailers with a rounded steel body are the all-rounders among construc-tion site vehicles. In particular for high-fre-quency tipping – this applies, for example, to the transport of mixed asphalt for road construction – robust steel bodies have proven their value. An optimised body geo-metry ensures a low centre of gravity. The complete, all-round insulation of the body represents the perfect transport solution for the new demands of motorway construction.

Schmitz Cargobull has drawn on its exten-sive experience in the area of tempera-ture-controlled transport to offer insulating elements providing smooth, precision-fit thermal insulation for rounded steel bodies, which easily meet the specifications for the insulation values set by the German Federal Ministry for Transport. All bodies have been prepared for the upgrading of measuring sensors, which is mandatory from 1 Janu-ary 2017.

The rounded steel body with the efficient subfloor insulation lies precisely on the rubber chassis support. Future-proof features include the access points for direct manual temperature measure-ment and preparation for installing digital meas-urement equipment.

With the fully insulated rounded steel body with a LIGHT chassis we offer a robust and payload-optimised transport solution for road construction. A newly developed rubber-based foam is used for the insulation.

Fully Insulated Aluminium Box Body. Insulation with Ease.

A fully insulated aluminium box body with a light chassis is the weight-optimised transport solution for road construction. An unladen weight of less than 5.2 tonnes – for a high payload – is achieved through the combination of a robust aluminium box body and lightweight insulation components.

The insulation is set flush with the floor, and the insulation on the side walls only margin-ally decreases the body volume. Since the outer dimensions of the body are not altered, the tipper trailer retains its low centre of grav-ity and can be combined, for example, with any of the trough covering options from the standard range.

The body is available with an external tailgate or an internal pendulum tailgate with chute. The aluminium box bodies are also prepared for retrofitting measuring sensors.

Sliding Tarpaulin Trough Covering.Speed and Safety.

The electrically-powered sliding tarpaulin does not just make load securing easier – because it can be operated from the ground, it also makes the process safer. The compli-cated fiddling with a working platform is no longer needed. The weight of the additional equipment is compensated by the lack of a working platform.

Trough Covering as Roller Tarpaulin.Safe on the Road.

Loads which blow off or fall off the trailer lead to fines and penalty points, especially when this impairs the following traffic. Securing the load with a tarpaulin therefore helps to increase road safety. Covering the load also saves fuel as it improves the aerodynamics of the tipper semi-trailer. In this way, load securing contributes to profitability.

Roof-shaped transverse bows can be fitted as an option to prevent water from accumu-lating on the roof.

The weight-optimised aluminium platform provides a safe place for operating the manual roller tarpaulin.

The control panel for the electric sliding tarpaulin is fitted to the longitudinal beam.

The arched transverse bows prevent water from collecting on the tarpaulin and enable the roof to be closed over protruding loads.

The bevel gear and the drive for the sliding roof are protected beneath the protective canopy of the front bulkhead.

The crank handle can be operated from the working platform in order to roll the tarpaulin over the body.

The Schmitz Cargobull sliding tarpaulin is available as either a manual or electric version. The new side mountings with roller hooks and a Z-profile improve the handling.

The diversity of the S.KI LIGHT high-volume tipper semi-trailer makes it a profitable choice for more than just harvesting. A variety of different tailgate solutions such as the two-wing combi-door with two grain sliders and a pallet-width aluminium body on the 10.5 model for transporting pallet goods or packaged goods considerably expands the range of usage options.

Equipping the trailer with a double-wing door, a grain chute and hopper provides you with a flexible range of high-volume applications. This transforms your tipper trailer with a high-volume body into an investment which rapidly pays off.

Choose in accordance with your require-ments. We have the optimal rear wall for your large volume aluminium body – from the solid wing doors, to the pendulum tailgates onward, to the sophisticated combi-doors, which keep all of your loading options open.

Combi-door: Controlled dumping via grain chute, tipping via the pendulum tailgate, loading and unloading the horizontal body with opened doors.

Protective Device.Cargo and Body Fully Protected.

The newly developed roller tarpaulin can be handled more easily and quickly. The tarpau-lin is closed from the ground using the long middle tensioning belt. In addition, the ten-sioning ratchets, with a broader handle and a larger lever, ensure more comfortable handling. The tarpaulin flap fitted at the rear enables the trailer to be unloaded with the tarpaulin closed, protecting the freight and saving time otherwise wasted rolling up the entire cover.

A external central tube which is sewn into the tarpaulin protects the often sensitive bulk goods against moisture and contamination. In addition, the optimised sealing bead on the tailgate ensures improved sealing below in the vicinity of the tipping cylinder connec-tion which, prevents damage to the cargo due to water ingress and moisture, and allows the bulk goods to reach their destina-tion intact.

The inside surfaces of the aluminium box body can be reinforced with accurately attached wear plates, thus protecting from excessive friction.

The central tube in the roller tarpaulin makes the cover more stable. The combi-door swings open without any prob-lems for unloading even with the tarpaulin closed

From LIGHT to Standard to Heavy Duty, from weight-optimised light-weight design to high frame profile cross sections and wall thicknesses for additional strength reserves – every chassis design meets your needs for the greatest possible payload with an advantageous unladen weight.

The finite element method (FEM) is a quality standard applied during the CAD chassis design process.

Our chassis with the drawn-in pickup plate area are computer- designed in such a way that you will never face unpleasant surprises when it comes to their service life, reliability, durability, ease of maintenance, off-road capability and value retention.
