SKELETONSPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL
Athletic Accomplishments
I hope to fufill my dream of competing in the Winter Olympics by setting high standards for myself in athletic performance, nutrition and community involvement.
“Top skeleton sliders are looking for maximum power and acceleration as they push [and sprint with] their sled from a standing start. Once the athlete has loaded onto the sled at the start, they must then steer it through twisting, high speed turns and straightaways where top speeds can reach more than 135 kilometres per hour.” (Whistlerslidingcentre.com)

Athlete Profile
My philosophy has always been that you get more out of life based on what you put into it. When I discovered Skeleton, I knew that this was my chance to fufill my dream of competing as an Olympian and challenging myself to the highest level. I have always tried to keep my eyes open to new opportunities, especially those that I can learn from. I believe asking lots of questions is the road to wisdom. What truly matters is what I have and will learn from all of my experiences and the journey. There is nothing like giving your very best just to find out what you are capable of. The training requires self-discipline and time management to accomplish my goals. I have learned that there are many different responsibilities of being an athlete. It is important to maintain balance in life, treat everyone with respect and help those in need.

TRAININGSummerMy workouts consist of dryland training including sprinting sessions, weightlifting, and plyometrics. I relocate to Calgary during the summers (and stay with my family) so I can use the indoor Ice House training facility to practice pushing and loading on the sled. I train with Inter Provincial, National and Olympic athletes.WinterIn winter I continue to do lifting in the gym, one or two sprint sessions a week and slide on the Whistler track during the weekends. This is where I practice “driving” the sled down the track.
THANK YOU
