• Etymological meaning of education (Chandra 2008)
• Latin word “Educatum” composed of two terms “E” and “DUCO”. “E” implies a progress from inward to outward while “DUCO” means developing or to lead or progressing.

The only way one becomes a member of a society is socialization. To be a social being, an individual person needs education. Thus, educating is socializing.Then, they are mutually/intimately interrelated and interdependent disciplines. They are inseparable and are like two faces of the same coin.

However, not all educational activities aim at socializing an individual. Socializing activities are those whose aim is to make people more alike (structuralism). But some of educating activities aim at making people more distinct (conflict theory).
