Sioux Scope A Newsletter for the Sioux City Camera Club September 2019 3 What’s in this issue! • SCCC Winners at N4C Pg. 1 • Sioux City to Co-Host 2020 N4C Pg. 1 • SCCC Winners Pg. 3-6 • Deadline Set for Art Center Exhibit Pg. 3 At our September 26th meeting the Sioux City Camera Club members unanimously voted to host the 2020 N4C Convention in Sioux City as co-host with the Sioux Falls Camera Club. “N4C had been talking with us at the N4C Convention and were very anxious for us to host the 2020 Convention. After discussions with the Sioux Falls Camera Club we decided to take this request back to our clubs,” said Carl Hardy. “Work will begin right away to start the process,” said Doug Conrad who along with his wife Jacque have volunteered to be co-chairs for the event. Sioux City to Co-Host N4C 2020 Convention SCCC Winners at N4C Convention Recently at the N4C 2019 Convention in Des Moines the Sioux City Camera Club was well rep-resented with seven awards. Vernice Kingsbury’s Color Print “Red Build- ings” was awarded 1st Place. Mitch Keller was awarded a 3rd Place in Print B&W for “Winter in North Dakota”. Mitch also was awarded an Hon- orable Mention in Panorama Prints with “Hong Kong Skyline”. Michael Greiner took two Honorable Men- tions, one in Print-Nature for “Golden Flow” and another in Color-Print with “100 Years to Late”. Webmaster Doug Conrad’s website was awarded a lst Place for the SCCC website and Sioux City Scope Editor Carl Hardy was awarded a 2nd Place in the bulletin contest. Recently at the N4C 2019 Convention in Des Moines the Sioux City Camera Club was well rep-resented with seven awards.

The subject line should clearly state: SCCC Digital Entries for October. Prints should be brought to the October 10 meeting. Prints may be dropped off to 6105 Pine View Dr. Call (712) 276-3618 before hand by Saturday, Oct. 12.

Mitch Keller will be talking about taking Panoramic Photos from shooting to processing to displaying for our program on October 10th.

“This is an important program. Maybe with training more members will be inclined to en-ter Panoramic Photos,” said Mitch.
