Submitted FC tenders will then be assessed and compared against a pre-determined evaluation model.

Further Competition (FC)

A FC can be issued to all prospective suppliers within the relevant lot and region.

We will provide FC documentation, which will include sufficient detail to enable suppliers to submit an accurate bid.

The main aim of lots 1, 2 and 3 is to provide access to a range of suppliers that have the specialist knowledge to assist with the implementation of a 1:1 learning solution. Lot 1 is for an Apple product, lot 2 is for Microsoft and lot 3 is for Google Android. As each supplier is education certified, they will be able to ensure that the benefits from a 1:1 learning solution are maximised and contributing to enhanced learning outcomes for both student and teacher.

However, should you just need some more equipment, then the lots cover the provision of both tablets and laptops along with associated accessories.

Lot 4 – Parental Contribution Software

The suppliers in this lot can provide MDM software, which provides the client strong management of mobile devices through the setting of customisable permissions and actions. This includes device management, deploying apps to specific groups, secure distribution of files & sensitive information and remote configuration. The software can also restrict access to inappropriate applications and supply tracking reports for device usage & capabilities to find lost devices.

This lot provides software that will administer, collect and track donations made to the school by parents in relation to mobile devices. It is internet-based so the user will be able to easily manage donations. The software can also produce financial reports, as well as handle insurance and warranty claims.

This lot covers both mobile and static device charging units. The device charging units are capable of charging any of the Apple, Google or Microsoft devices. They will charge a minimum of 8 laptops and/or tablets at any one time.

The IT Networking Solutions lot encompasses design, supply and installation of local networking systems, both wired and wireless, which are intended to compliment and integrate with existing systems. This lot includes the provision of equipment from the server onwards, such as cabling, WIFI access points and wired network outlet points. There is also a real focus on the support and maintenance service provided.

Lot 8 provides the installation and set-up of IP phone systems. This cloud-based system can provide an auto-attendant solution as well as allow users to make and receive calls, use voicemail, handle transfers and make free internal calls. Additional services may be amended on a monthly basis. A range of different handsets are available depending on the requirement.

Lot 9 provides a range of products from LEGO and sphero, both of which support the national STEM curriculum. These products work with mobile devices as an additional learning tool, providing students with new ways of learning.
