• Under the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) Paris Agreement signed by
189 countries of the world in 2015, it was agreed to limit anthropogenic global warming to well under 2º centigrade.
• Each country must determine, plan and regularly report on the contribution that it undertakes to reduce global
warming by mitigating its greenhouse-gas-emissions.
• SF6 like CO2 is a green-house gas.
• Since global carbon emissions in 2019 hit an all-time high record of 36.8 billion metric tons, the pressure on
