stages. Doing well, plenty of speed, prefers an abbreviated sprint trip.

3 3 I Want One Ruben Fuentes Andrew Lerner 15/1 5/7 SA 5fq 1:03.1h C+ In blinkers, in company inside Speedy Gigi (same time) and wasn't asked much in slow, modest drill, splits of :12 flat and

2 2 Sweet Sonny Jose Valdivia, Jr. Brian Koriner 15/1 3/22 SA 5f 1:01.1h B- We have a work on this newcomer back in March, in company inside A Man's Man (4f, :47.4h) for Koriner, splits of :12.1,

:23.3, :48.1 and 1:01.1 (out to 7/8 pole), maybe a tad the best when workmate pulled up, some pressure in the final stages, okay move while getting fit. Brought $250,000 at the OBS April sale last year.

3 3 Affianced Flavien Prat Richard Mandella 4/1

4 4 Navetta Ruben Fuentes John Sadler 7/25/7 SA 5f 1:01.3h TT B Solo five furlong training track drill for Sadler, splits of :25 flat, :37.2 and 1:01.3h, breezing throughout and finishing

eagerly with plenty left. Ran well in debut and has every right to improve. Took a long time to get to the races (she's four) but has some upside.

5 5 Himiko J.C. Diaz, Jr. Bob Baffert 6/15/9 SA 5f 1:01.1h B+ Worked inside Azul Coast (same time) for Baffert and was always going the better of the two in impressive fashion,

stout hold early, light coaxing to the wire, and then asked a bit to continue out to 7/8 pole, splits of :12.1, :24.3, :36.3, 1:01.2 and then out in 1:14.3. Plenty fit by enough, should be very live vs. maiden sophomore fillies soon.

4/24 SA 5f :59.1hg B Worked inside Gamine (same time) for Baffert in team gate drill, splits of :23.2, :35 flat, :47.1 and :59.2 on our watches, even to the top but then weakening slightly late to her breezing stablemate, who galloped out far in front. No disgrace, workmate is a monster. Has plenty of speed and should make the entries soon.

4/16 SA 4f :46.2hg B Inside Holden the Lute (same time) for Baffert, splits of :23.1, :34.2 and :46.2 while being permitted to show her speed, maybe a tad the best toward the end of the drill, though not much gallop out (probably by design). Getting fit, daughter of American Pharoah brought $1 million as a weanling.

6 6 Quiet Secretary Mike Smith Ian Kruljac 20/1

7 7 M Fast Jorge Velez Neil Drysdale 15/1 5/9 SA 4f :50.1h TT B- Solo training track move for Drysdale, final three furlongs in :12.3 and :37.1 without being asked. Has some run, bred

for grass, perhaps a bit green and may be a down the road type but is definitely worth a look.

5/2 SA 4f :49.4h B- Worked outside Happy Road (same time) for Drysdale, was under a strong hold early while trying to run off a bit, then settled and went stride-for-stride to the wire, never asked, :49.3 on our watches. Getting fit, has some run but is headstrong and tad green at this stage.

8 8 Del Mar Drama Tiago Pereira J. Kruljac 20/1

9 9 Moonhall Milly [FR] Umberto Rispoli Leonard Powell 6/1

10 10 Vegas Palm Geovanni Franco Gary Mandella 10/1

11 11 Scarlet Lips Abel Cedillo Peter Miller 12/1

12 12 Fierce for Sul Drayden Van Dyke Bob Baffert 5/14/16 SA 4f :48h B In company outside Withholding Info (same time) for B. Baffert and was slightly second best through the lane, stout hold

early, light coaxing late, splits of :12.1, :24 flat and :48.1 on our watches. Plenty of zip, probably wants to be let roll, will prefer an abbreviated (short) sprint trip.

4/4 SA 4f :46.4hg B+ In blinkers, very quick gate drill for Baffert while in company with Bourbon Trail (4f, :47.1hg), splits of :22.4, :34 flat and :46.3 on our watches, light coaxing only. Speightstown filly brought $650,000 in the OBS March sale last year and it's easy to see why. Curious to see how far she'll be able to carry her zip.

13 13 Constantia Jorge Velez John Sadler 12/1 4/29 SA 4f :48.2h B- In company outside Best Chance (same time) for Sadler and went stride-for-stride through the lane, neither one asked

much, final quarter in :24.2. Probably has a bit of improvement in her.

14 14 Hola Chica Geovanni Franco Carla Gaines 30/1 5/6 SA 4f :49h TT B- Solo half mile training track drill for Gaines, stout hold early, light coaxing thru the lane, decent enough for a high-priced

maiden claiming type, splits of :12.3 and :36.4 for the final three furlongs. Can improve with experience and distance.

 Race #4 Allowance Optional Claiming - 1M D

FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD WHICH HAVE NEVER WON $15,000 THREE TIMES OTHER THAN MAIDEN, CLAIMING, STARTER, OR STATE BRED OR WHICH HAVE NOT WON $50,000 SINCE NOVEMBER 15, 2019 OR WHICH HAVE NEVER WON FOUR RACES OR CLAIMING PRICE $80,000. 1 1 Law Abidin Citizen Umberto Rispoli Mark Glatt 4/15/2 SA 6f 1:13.2h B Broke off several lengths behind Pepe Tono (6f, 1:14h) for Glatt and closed the gap through the lane to finish about

head-and-head at the wire, mild coaxing only, final three furlongs in :12 flat and :37.1. Solid drill, holds his form.

2 2 Ax man Mike Smith Bob Baffert 5/15/8 SA 5f :59.2h C+ In company outside Justinian (5f, :59.1h) for Baffert) and was noticeably second best, about a length back at the wire, final

quarter in :24.3 while again sloppy on his leads, some coaxing through the lane while workmate was breezing. Not really encouraging.

5/1 SA 4f :59.3h Splits of :24.1, :35.3 and :59.4 on our watches, good clocking but very late changing leads (and had to be asked repeatedly to do so) in solo five furlong drill for Baffert. Usually catches the eye in the a.m. but this was below his norm. Question mark. B-

3 3 Justinian Drayden Van Dyke Bob Baffert 4/15/8 SA 5f :59.1h B+ Much best in company inside Ax Man (5f, :59.2h), finishing about a length in front while waiting on workmate in the final

furlong, final quarter in :24.2. On edge for another top effort.

5/1 SA 5f :59.3h B+ In company inside Game Winner (5f, :59.2h) for Baffert and finished a length back at the wire but wasn't asked while 'Winner was let run in the final stages, splits of :23.2, :35.2 and :59.3, strong work for lightly-raced and improving son of Justin Phillip. Won his last pair in good style and should be competitive on the raise. Doing very well and looks good.

2 2 Kris' Wild Kat Flavien Prat Manuel Marques 3/15/8 SA 5f 1:02.1h TT B- Solo training track spin for Baltas, let run through the lane after being awkward and late changing leads but finished

rather nicely, final quarter in :24.1. Plenty fit and is seeking another mid-grade restricted claimer.

5/1 SA 4f :48.4h TT B- Was rough changing leads in the upper stretch but finished well enough, final three furlongs in :35.4 in solo training track drill for Baltas. Maintains his form.

:50.2 for the final half mile. Looked better here than the last time but still needs a class drop to find his proper level.

4/27 SA 4f :48.2h C+ Ridden hard through the lane while looking fair to moderate, splits of :11.4, :24 flat and :48.2 on our watches. Needs a class drop.

1 1 Stir the Pot Edwin Maldonado Steve Knapp 20/1 5/10 SA 4f :48.4h C+ Went off quickly while appearing rank early, then was asked hard through the lane, final quarter in :24.4. Needs to learn

how to settle. Belongs with state-bred maidens sprinting on turf.

2 2 Rookie Mistake Mario Gutierrez Doug O'Neill 8/15/1 SA 5f 1:01.4h B In company outside Murad Khan (5f, 1:02.1h), breaking off a couple of lengths behind, moving up to engage into the far

turn and then finishing stride-for-stride in the final stages, never really asked while appearing a tad the best, final half mile on our watches in :24 flat and :49.1. In good shape for O'Neill, handles any surface but form suggests he may be a bit better on grass.

3 3 Audace Abel Cedillo Mike Puype 15/1

4 4 Summer Fire Mike Smith Robert Hess, Jr. 8/14/27 SA 5f 1:00.3h TT B In blinkers, broke off a couple of lengths in front Money Back (5f, 1:00.1h) and finished down the lane with that one,

final three furlongs in :12 flat and :36.4, let run early but only under mild coaxing late, decent enough in training track drill for Hess, Jr. Cal-bred sophomore may be most effective as a late-running sprinter, handles any surface.

5 5 Club Aspen Jorge Velez Craig Lewis 4/13/26 SA 5f 1:00.1h B Last we saw of him was this drill in late March, though he's worked steadily since, splits of :11.2 and :35.4 from the three

furlong pole to the wire, light coaxing only, nice move though as usual not changing leads. Doing well for C. Lewis.

6 6 Project Leader Edgar Payeras Marcia Stortz 30/1

1 1 Don't Blame Judy Geovanni Franco J. Kruljac 6/15/9 SA 5f 1:01.3h TT B Another solo training track drill for Kruljac, final quarter mile in :24.3, breezing through the lane. Looks good, doesn't

win very often but always seems to pay her way.

5/2 SA 4f :48.4h TT B Breezing through the lane, final three furlongs on training track in :12 flat and :37.1. Seems fine for Kruljac.

2 2 She's Our Charm Brice Blanc Ronald McAnally 4/15/9 SA 6f 1:14.1h B Never really asked, final three furlongs in :37.2 after appearing a bit keen early. Plenty fit for McAnally, turf specialist

might be most effective when being allowed to show her speed on the front end.

4/29 SA 5f :59.3h B+ A bit keen early but settled midway and finished under very light coaxing only, strong drill for McAnally, final three furlongs in :36 flat. Very good move on dirt for a turf specialist, lightly raced with further improvement in her.

3 3 Strike At Dawn Jorge Velez Manuel Marques 3/15/7 SA 5f 1:00.2h TT B A tad late changing leads but went quite well without need of coaxing, final three furlongs in :36.3, solid solo drill on

training track for Baltas. Turf specialist has been freshened since November and appears to be coming back quite well.

4 4 Sold It Mario Gutierrez Doug O'Neill 10/1

5 5 Desert Oasis Flavien Prat Neil Drysdale 4/15/10 SA 5f 1:01.2h TT B Solo training track drill for Drysdale, a tad late changing leads but did fine, final three furlongs in :12.3 and :37.1. Won

her last pair in good style and holds her form, should be competitive on the raise.

6 6 Out of Balance Drayden Van Dyke David Hofmans 8/1

7 7 Dogtag Umberto Rispoli Richard Mandella 5/25/1 SA 6f 1:12.3h Wore blinkers for this drill (doesn't wear them in the p.m.) while In company inside with Parkour (same time), final half

mile :22.3 and :47.2, ridden through the lane while workmate was going fairly easily. Can't say the hood helped and apparently she's not that fond of dirt, either.

 Race #8 - Evening Jewel S. Stakes - 6F D

1 1 Smiling Shirlee Mike Smith Jeff Bonde 10/1

2 2 Bella Vita Umberto Rispoli Simon Callaghan 6/14/17 SA 4f :49.1h B Breezing through the lane for Callaghan in what was nothing more than a high gallop and handling the dirt just fine.

Probably most effective sprinting at this stage of her career, should handle any surface. Very nice sort.

3 3 Been Studying Her Flavien Prat Art Sherman 7/2

4 4 Dim Lights Assael Espinoza Steven Miyadi 15/1 4/16 SA 4f :50.1h B- Blazed-faced chestnut filly was strictly on her own in easy training track move, final three furlongs in :37.1. Lightly-raced

and should be competitive vs. first-level allowance turf sprinters.

5 5 Bulletproof One Abel Cedillo Peter Miller 5/2

6 6 Speedy Gigi Edwin Maldonado Andrew Lerner 12/1 5/7 SA 5f 1:03.1h C+ In company outside I Want One (same time) for Lerner, slow work but neither one asked much, final three furlongs in

:12.3 and :38 flat. Undefeated in two starts (at Turf Paradise and Los Alamitos) and now will get tested in the real world.

7 7 Warrior's Moon Drayden Van Dyke Peter Eurton 12/1 5/4 SA 5f 1:01.2h B- In company outside Perfect Ice Storm (same time) for Eurton, never asked and really just galloping along while stride-for-

stride through the lane, splits of :13 flat, :25.2, :37.1, and 1:01.4 on our watches, a tad slower than given. Holds her form, fits with first-level allowance state-bred fillies on grass.

8 8 Florentine Diamond Tiago Pereira Paula Capestro 20/1

9 9 Warren's Showtime Jorge Velez Craig Lewis 3/1

10 10 Homehome Mario Gutierrez Doug O'Neill 15/1 5/1 SA 5f 1:00.2h B Once again worked with Cheap Cheap Cheap (same time) for O'Neill, splits of :12.1, :23.3, :35.1 and 1:00.2, never really

asked much, head-and-head at the wire. Holds her form.

4/25 SA 4f :48.1h B In company outside Cheap Cheap Cheap (same time), splits of :23.2 and :48 flat, nice hold in the final stages while looking fine for O'Neill. In good shape but is out of conditions and probably will find stakes types pretty difficult to cope with.

1 1 Heywoods Beach Umberto Rispoli John Sadler 7/25/3 SA 6f 1:14.2h TT B Solo training track drill for Sadler, easy to the top, then was asked to pick up through the lane and finished well, final

three furlongs in :12.1 and :36.1, solid move while appearing plenty fit. Speightstown colt has improved with each outing, should return soon in a maiden turf router

2 2 Eastern Ocean Abel Cedillo Mark Glatt 8/15/8 SA 5f 1:03.4h B- No blinkers, under a nice hold thru the lane while just galloping along. final three furlongs in :12.3 and :38.1. Lightly-

raced with room to improve, probably needs grass for his best chance.

3 3 No Slo Mo Evin Roman Mark Glatt 20/14/26 SA 5f 1:01.3h C Worked outside Sash (5f, 1:01h) for Glatt, and was unable to keep up in the final furlong, finishing several lengths

behind despite being urged, splits of :24 flat :36 flat and 1:01.3. Uncle Mo colt is hard to endorse at this stage.

4/17 SA 4f :47.2h C+ Worked outside Bluegrass Patriot (same time) for Glatt and was let run early and asked hard late, splits of :23 flat and :47.2, slightly second best and not particularly impressive despite good final time. Doesn't appear to be a sprint type, that's for sure. Worth another look.

4 4 Leprino Jorge Velez Richard Mandella 5/1

5 5 Port Saint Joe Agapito Delgadillo Doug O'Neill 12/1

6 6 Lemonade Stand Flavien Prat Tim Yakteen 6/14/22 SA 5f 1:02.2h C+ In blinkers, In a team drill inside Big Score (5f, 1:02.2h) and Kelani Kim (5f, 1:02h) for Yakteen, splits of :24.1 and :50 flat,

no real pressure, kinda one-paced while grinding along. Bred for turf on both sides so we may not see his best until he's given a chance on the lawn.

7 7 Perseverance Edwin Maldonado James Cassidy 20/1

8 8 Capital Call Geovanni Franco Neil Drysdale 8/15/9 SA 5f 1:03.2h TT C Solo five furlong training track spin for Drysdale, rough changing leads and slowing down through the lane without

being asked much, final three furlongs in :12.2 and :38.2. Not very inspiring.

5/2 SA 5f 1:01h TT C+ No blinkers, worked outside Fire Polish (same time) in training track drill for Drysdale, breaking off a length behind and staying that way throughout while being ridden from the quarter pole home (workmate not asked much), splits of :24.2, :36.1 and 1:01.1 on our watches. One-paced grinding type probably needs high priced maiden claimers, the longer the better.

9 9 Dominant Soul Tiago Pereira Paula Capestro 8/1

10 10 Istanbul Victor Espinoza James Cassidy 6/14/25 SA 5f 1:01.4h B Comebacker in Cassidy barn came the final three furlongs in :12 flat and :37 flat, smooth to the wire without ever being

asked. Like the way this one is returning, 4-year-old maiden probably wants to run long on the lawn.

4/18 SA 5f :59.4h B Solo five furlong spin for Cassidy, ridden mildly through the lane while finishing in full stride, splits of :23.2 and :47.3 for the final half mile, nice drill for Cassidy. Been away since November of 2018 and is getting fit, form isn't much but he could be a better type now.

11 11 Fire Polish Drayden Van Dyke Neil Drysdale 12/1 5/9 SA 5f 1:03.4h TT C+ In company outside the more experienced Cosmo (5f, 1:04) in training track drill for Drysdale and was second best by

about a half-length to breezing workmate, final three furlongs on our watches in :12.1 and :37.1. Looks fit, fair sort right now, needs some racing experience.

5/2 SA 5f 1:01h TT B- Broke off a length in front ofworked outside Capital Call (same time) in training track drill for Drysdale, and maintained that margin throughout, not really asked much while workmate was some coaxing, splits of :24.2, :36.1 and 1:01.1 on our watches. Hard Spun colt may have a bit of run, been in training for a while and should be more than fit by now.

12 12 Summer Invasion Assael Espinoza Mike Puype 12/1 4/30 SA 4f :48.2hg C+ In blinkers, gate drill outside War Maker (5f, 1:01hg, inside) and Into Victory (5f, 1:01.4hg, middle) and didn't show a

whole lot, good break but under some coaxing throughout, :36.1 and :48.2, third best of the team for Puype. Bred for turf so maybe that will help. Down the road type.

13 13 Frasard [GB] Drayden Van Dyke Leonard Powell 4/1

1 1 Hoop Dream Geovanni Franco David Bernstein 8/14/29 SA 5f 1:01.2h B- In blinkers, solo spin for Bernstein, splits of :11.4 and :37.3 for the final three furlongs, never really asked much. Not too

bad but needs a significant class drop.

4 4 Handsome Cat Jose Valdivia, Jr. Matthew Chew 6/1

5 5 Sorriso Abel Cedillo Mark Glatt 7/25/7 SA 5f 1:01.3h B- Blinkers off, in team drill outside Strugar (inside, 6f, 1:17.1h) and Maestro Dearte (middle, 6f, 1;15h) for Glatt and came

widest to finish under some urging to be slightly second best just behind 'Dearte, splits of :12.4, :25.1, :37.1 and 1:01.3, switching back to his left lead in the final sixteenth. Ran okay in debut on grass and may improve a bit with experience, probably will fit best for a high priced maiden tag.

6 6 War Maker Assael Espinoza Dean Pederson 8/14/30 SA 5f 1:01hg C+ In blinkers, best of team gate drill with Into Victory (5f, 1:01.4hg) and Summer Invasion (4f, :48.2hg), some pressure late

to draw clear, splits of :24.2, :36.1, :48.1 and 1:01 flat, fair to moderate (workmates not too much). Was third in debut in a state-bred maiden $50,000 and probably will return in a similar spot next time.

7 7 El Chapin Carlos Lopez, Jr. Edwin Alvarez 50/1

8 8 Hapi Hapi Jorge Velez Craig Lewis 20/14/3 SA 6f 1:15.4h C+ In blinkers, in company outside Brickbat (6f, 1:17.1h) for C. Lewis and was much best in slow six furlong drill, easy most

of the way, splits of :25.1, :37.1, :49 flat and 1:16 flat on our watches. Form last year wasn't much, may be a bit better this time around but needs soft maiden claimers.

3/27 SA 6f 1:14h C+ In blinkers and shadow roll, solo six furlong drill for C. Lewis, ridden hard from the top of the lane to the wire but didn't really produce a great pick-up, final five furlongs on our watches in :23.4, :35.3 and 1:01.3. In good enough shape on the comeback trail but needs moderate maiden claimers.

9 9 U. S. Danger Mario Gutierrez George Papaprodromou 15/1 5/3 SA 4f :48.1h C+ Went off slowly, wasn't really asked much late, not too bad for maiden claiming type, splits of :12.4, :24.4 and :48.4 on our

watches, a bit slower than given. Was far back in debut vs. straight maiden Calbreds in debut last December and was stopped on, should surface for a tag this time around.

10 10 With Due Cause Flavien Prat Mike Harrington 8/1

11 11 Desert Swarm Tiago Pereira Brian Koriner 4/15/9 SA 4f :49.4h B- Solo main track spin for Koriner, splits of :12.1, :24.1, and :49.4, allowed to coast home without being asked. Has some

improvement in him if realistically spotted.

5/2 SA 5f 1:00.2h B- In company inside Takethediamondlane (same time) for Koriner and was second best but did okay, splits of :23.3, :35.2 and 1:00.3 on our watches, no real pressure (workmate going easily). May be effective on the class drop into a high priced maiden claiming state-bred affair.

12 12 Jungle Roar Agapito Delgadillo Jeff Mullins 8/14/17 SA 4f :48.4hg C+ In company from gate with Flyinlaurel (same time) for Mullins, going off slowly and then finishing up okay, splits of :25

flat and :48.4, not really asked much, stride for stride when eased up. Bred to run long (Animal Kingdom), certainly not a sprint type, in good hands and is getting fit, probably a moderate maiden claiming type right now.
