Community Involvement

ERAG mission statement: “To promote visual fine art within the Idaho

Falls region through education, community service, and cultural

programming for all ages”

In a typical year of the Eagle Rock Art Guild’s Operations consist of over a com-

bined approximate value of 1,400 volunteer hours; in the gallery education center

(Jan– Dec 2014) but an additional three times that amount of volunteer hours

from the work done outside of the gallery in maintaining books, records, contacts

and so on…

For several years now Eagle Rock Art Guild has established public viewing and

awareness /education of visual art…

Elementary Art School Exhibit—k-6 graders exhibit

Bank of Idaho Youth Art Awards and Competition– 7-12th grade stu-

dents throughout SE Idaho

Helen Aupperle Senior High School Portfolio Scholarship Exhibit–

12th grades in Idaho Falls High Schools share a portfolio of work for

chance to win scholarship

Spring Show– membership exhibit

Sidewalk Art Festival: open to national (regional) and local artists

Holiday Art Show: membership exhibit

Provided Senior Citizens and Children with Art Classes

Participate in other Annual community events the Festival of Trees &

Dream Night at the Zoo

Maintain a valuable Permanent Collection of Art and records of par-

ticipating local member/ visual artist

Our membership and volunteers are an abundant/ valuable source of

creativity, talent, and compassionate service who are indeed moved

by the value of art education and enjoyment in their own lives!

Eagle Rock Art Guild has been within the community of Idaho Falls and has pioneered many

art educational programs for membership and the community. The Guild (commonly re-

ferred) has 67 years (est. Dec 1948) of experience.

1) those years of experience are not without problems: failures or successes (just like life)

2) we have not once owned a facility , yet we have continued and intend to continue to

provide community with service and enjoyment of art. This does not mean we are without

challenges of doing so… and we are asking for your help and support.

In April, Eagle Rock Art Guild, moved out of the current leased facility on Cliff St. We are

currently looking for facilities to temporarily hold our community shows; while seeking out,

saving, and raising funds for a permanent ownership of a facility .

Here are some ways you can help…

Volunteer This is an essential for the survival of this organization as most other non-profits

Donation are graciously accepted for permanent building funds.

If you know someone in the community willing to provide us with space (roughly 2000sq ft) for anyone of our community exhibits such as: Elementary , Bank of Idaho, Helen Aupperle , Holiday Show etc..

If you know someone willing to negotiate non-profit terms in regards to a building/permanent facility ownership
