A simple and reliable sensor for continuous level indication and control of any liquid chemically compatible with the (sensor) material, unaffected by electrical conductivity, temperature, pressure or viscosity. The float is designed for variety of liquids and its unique self-cleaning construction which is well suited for sticky or dirty environment with no float hang-ups.

BILGE LEVEL SWITCHES

APPLICATIONS

It is a simple, low cost, point level controller designed for detection of conductive liquids, having low densities, highviscosities, containing solid particles and interface between non-conductive and conductive liquids.

The Bilge Switch is designed to be installed in ship’s bilges and tanks,

Industrial sumps and tanks where it would be bolted at the required alarm level.

Available with 316 stainless steel electrodes as standard

Suitable for many chemicals and aggressive media

Sure solution for dirty liquids as well as those with high solids content

Available with Solid probes / Suspended probes to suit the applications.

Bilge level switches are safety critical component for the detection of liquid in dead spaces, voids and sumps that are rarely visited or inspected by the crew. They indicate rising liquid level, a leakage or flooding hazard. It is corrosion resistant, stainless steel IP-68 compliant construction with a hermetically sealed SPDT reed switch. It is also designed with a manual lift test mechanism, which can be used to check switch operation.

Flushing rings are used with flanged chemical seal systems for flushing or venting the space immediately in front of the diaphragm. They are simply mounted between the flanged process connection and the diaphragm seal. The two flushing ports allow washing out of particles accumulated in front of the membrane and the pressure space can be vented or drained according to requirement.

Sight flow indicators provide an effective way to view the condition of liquids flowing through industrial process lines. These indicators assures flow rate, flow direction & condition of the medium. Sight flow indicators allow operators to observe the color and clarity of liquids through a window. They can be equipped with mechanisms for enhancing visual observation of flow — such as rotators for clear fluids like water, flappers for flow direction and intensity, and drip tubes for very low flows — or they can be plain-style with no indicator. Teflon lined sight flows are used for corrosive environments and to safeguard against chemical reactions.

LEVEL CONTROL INSTRUMENTSLevel Controllers are Micro controller based units which are interfaced with Level switches / Level Transmitters for display, monitor & control of variable outputs from a tank.

Gauge valves are used to isolate instrument assembly during process shut downs & maintenance. This also gives flexibility for mounting of different level gauges. Recommended for use with SHRIDHAN make Transparent & reflex level gauges or any other pipe connections.

External Chambers are used for mounting Shridhan / other range of process level instruments to a vessel. Externally mounting an instrument in a chamber means it can be isolated for routine maintenance while keeping the plant operational. It is also useful for in-tank restrictions that do not allow mounting of the instrument in a vessel.

Stilling well is a cylinder-shaped cage installed within a tank to protect level instrumentation from fluid agitation that would result in measurement error. Stilling wells are a great way to dampen disruptions such as waves, turbulence and reduce Foaming, and provide a clean target surface for an accurate measurement. Stilling wells can be used with Float & displacer level switches / Float operated level transmitters, Ultrasonic / Radar sensors.

When considering bilge level sensors, it would be easy for a ship builder or owner to try and make economies by using cheaper devices, often constructed with poor quality materials and design.

Due to the harsh environments that this bilge water level switch is likely to encounter, extensive successful testing has been undertaken, exceeding the required environmental testing for Marine Type Approval laid out in IACS Unified requirement E10 and the relevant sections of IEC945.

A control panel system consisting of buzzer,with Acknowledgement, Indication Lamps, Relay contacts in proportionate to the number of Bilge level switches.

The panels are Designed to withstand the extreme environmental conditions in cargo hold, pump room and engine room.
