AIR VALVE ISOLATING

Double Air Valve IS 14845:2000 combined with screw-down isolating valve. The small orifice releases air at the working pressure, the large orifice provides for the inlet and outlet of large quantities of air at atmost pressure during pipe emptying and fitting respectively. The isolating valve permits inspection of the valve without shutting water off main.

AIR VALVE KINETIC

Kinetic Air Valves as per IS 14845:2000 with or without isolating sluice valves are designed for particularly difficult air release problems. By the application of hydrodynamic principles a novel feature has been introduced through which the large orifice always remains open irrespective of the velocity of air discharged and is closed positively as soon as water rises in the valve. A Kinetic type Air Valves is capable of exhausting a greater volume of air than a conventional air valve because it is specifically designed not to blow shut and therefore can be operated at higher differential pressures.

Foot Valve screwed is manufactured strictly as per IS:4038-1986. This valve is generally placed at the lower end of the suction pipe of a Centrifugal Pump to prevent the suction of pipe from emptying while the pump is at rest. This valve is particularly useful when the suction lift or vertical height of the pipe is considerable.

TESTINGEach valve is subjected to two tests :-Seat Test:- Valve seat is tested at 0.2 MPA Hydrostatic test pressure for 2 minutes.Housing Test : The body of valve is tested at 0.6 MPa hydrostatic test pressure for 2 minutes.
