COMMUNITY IS ORGANISED TO OPEN MSK IN PLACES HAVING NO MIDDLE SCHOOL WITHIN 3 KM
PANCHAYATS TO FACILITATE & SUPPORT AS THEIR OWN PROGRAMME

3,530 LEARNERS- 1,23,571 GIRLS - 61,401 ( 49.7%) SC & ST - 49,669 ( 40.2%) PTR – 26 NO OF TEACHERS PER MSK 3.8
QUALITY OF EDUCATION LEARNING IN CLASS IS VERY IMPORTANT
SINCE STUDENTS ARE MOSTLY FIRST GENERATION LEARNERS
SAHAYIKAS ARE TRAINED AT THE FOUNDATION LEVEL WITH ANNUAL RE-ORIENTATION
MONTHLY CONTACTS BY ACADEMIC SUPERVISORS FOR IN SITU TAINING
WEEKLY PROGRAMME IN ALL INDIA RADIO TO DISCUSS LESSONS FOR SAHAYIKAS
AN INITIATIVE FOR JOYFUL LEARNING LAUNCHED

GENERAL PERCEPTION IS THAT EVEN WITH MUCH FEWER RESOURCES AS COMPAED TO FORMAL SCHOOLS THE SSK CENTERS ARE RUNNING BETTER THAN THE PRIMARY SCHOOLS
OWNERSHIP OF THE COMMUNITY
MANY MANAGING COMMITTEE MEMBERS HAVE DONATED LAND AND INFRASTUCTURE TO THE SSK CENTERS. EIGHT SUCH CASES WERE FOUND IN SOUTH 24 PARGANAS & TWO WERE FOUND IN BURDWAN OUT OF 50 CENTERS IN OUR SAMPLE….
