(A Govt of India Undertaking) Our first old aged is a widowed lady from Chandarnagar. Her extremity is hurtful, as she used to pay her own son to live in their home, from the money she got as widow-pension. This is her family's wretched behaviour at it's best, and her plight doesn't end here. Her clothes were teared off, and she was robbed off her savings of Rs.40,000 by her own son, daughter-in-law and even grandson. After which she was badly beaten up and thrown away. Under the scrutiny of such a miserable situation, she went to a temple whose authorities got in touch with SHEOWS. As soon as the people at SHEOWS got to know her story, they immediately brought her at the Ashram giving her attention and emotional support. She was provided with shelter, food and clothes with complete devotion. Now a member of Guru Vridh Vishram Ashram, she is peaceful and coping up well.
