And then on Monday following our sale our first on-line embryo auction begins. These embryos are the never-before-offered genetics which our herd is built around. Its taken 39 years of rigid selection to produce these cattle with breed-leading performance and longevity, and outstanding phenotype with consistency and style. And its extremely rewarding to see the fruits of our labor becoming top producers in well-respected herds across the country. Whether youre a purebred or commercial breeder or want to win in the show ring, theres something here for you.

These versatile, extremely functional cattle are athletes raised in Virginia range conditions. Theyre designed to efficiently convert grass to meat, thrive on fescue, and withstand the wide weather extremes routinely experienced in these mountains.

The bulls, SimAngus and purebred, are extremely uniform and rugged. In fact, this is such a tremendous bull offering that were retaining 25% semen interest in all bulls. And these high-maternal females, as pretty as pictures, should be staying in our herd. They should excel as fancy brood cows, donors and in the showring.

At this time I want to invite you to Shenandoah Valley Simmentals owned and operated each day by Lisa Zirkle. The sale will be held at the farm in Quicksburg, Virginia on Saturday November 21nd at 1:00. Lisa has been raising quality, performance oriented Simmentals for 30 plus years. Shenandoah has been selling bulls privately for many years plus has had six production sales. Lisa resides on a century farm that was originally settled in 1735. You will find a great hospitality by Lisa and her crew plus you find great Simmental genetics that have been proven for many generations. This sale is a unique setting and is beautiful so it needs to be a must attend for any serious breeder.

The sale offering is strong and anyone should find quite attractive from a buyers stand point. The bulls are stout and ready to go work for your program whether commercial or purebred. The bulls will offer calving ease and performance plus will be a wide range of pedigrees. Please call Lisa on the bulls and any other lots, she knows this offering inside and out. This year there is a few older bulls that are two year olds, they are impressive and no doubt will get the job done. If you are a serious bull buyer no matter what state you hail from I would encourage to look at the stout bull offering available. Trucking will be one of your least of worries come sale day. As far as the females, Lisa would like to keep them all however this year the Valley sale offering is stronger than ever with great purebreds and SimAngus. Last years sale was a big success with cattle selling to 11 states from Florida to South Dakota. Again, every lot in this sale is backed by years of building strong, production oriented, real world traits. Another genetic opportunity this year will be the Shenandoah Valley Treasure Chest embryo sale. No embryos will be in the sale on the 21st however on Monday November 23rd and November 24th the online embryo sale will have loads of genetic opportunities. This will be hosted on DP Online Sales. Please study the pedigrees of all the animals in the sale and pick out your favorite donors. This is first opportunity all the frozen genetics have been made available across the country. Semen InterestWere selling full possession and 75% semen interest of all bulls and were retaining 25% semen interest. The buyer has total control of the bull, 100% possession, 100% salvage value and 75% semen interest. Any bulls affected will be collected at the buyers convenience and our expense. This will actually affect very few bulls.

AnnouncementsAnnouncements at the sale by the owners or auctioneer will take precedence over statements in the sale catalog. We reserve the right to withdraw any sale lot not meeting our specifications prior to sale time.

Herd HealthAll cattle will have proper health certificates for immediate interstate shipment. The bred females have been pregnancy examined and are confirmed safe. All bulls have passed a breeding soundness examination. Each animal will be at the purchasers risk immediately after it is sold. An updated data sheet containing calving information and additional bull data will be available sale day.

Sale Registration and PaymentAll buyer numbers will only be issued with a valid ID and payment is due day of sale. DP Sales Management would appreciate timely settlement of receivables within 15 days of date of sale. Cattle will not be transferred until paid for in full DP Sales accepts Visa & Mastercard.

Registration CertificatesCattle will be transferred to the buyer at the sellers expense. All calves born before the sale will be registered by the seller; calves born after the sale are to be registered by the buyer. Buyers must provide the sale clerk with complete information for transferring registration certificates.

During the Civil War northern troops scoured the countryside killing livestock and stealing or destroying food that may sustain the Confederates. The original barn was burned and livestock slaughtered. The fire made windowpanes in the house too hot to touch. The barn was rebuilt after the war and today it is our sale barn.

Cross-fire is one of two King Pin sons being offered. And in our 2012 sale, King Pin sold to Genex and Sandy Acres Simmentals in Nebraska, for $10,000.
