Argyll LearnNetM. McKnight
A private space can give you the quiet you need
A common space like a family room means parents can
supervise and help you
If you must share a work space or work near siblings…
ask your parents to help keep noise to a minimum
Inform your family when you need quiet to concentrate
Put away anything that might distract you from your work
Desk and chair
Printer and scanner
Bookshelf for text books & binders
A good light source to avoid strained eyes
Bulletin or Memo board to keep track of notes and lists
Pens, pencils, highlighters, paper
Binders or notebooks Taking notes is always a good idea!
Keep school supplies well stocked so you have them when you need them.
Keep your most used items within easy reach
Tidy up at the end of each day so you are ready to go the next day
Get rid of garbage near your work space
Find a place for loose papers and supplies
Don’t let your space get out of control!
It’s much easier to work when your learning space is organized!
A good working environment will help you have
a successful year of learning!
