SESSION 2014-2015
MOTHERS MEETING
On 18.08.2014, Dr.Sapna A.Henry, subject expert and Principal, Govt.College
Takhatpur , shared information about the effect by the attitudes and behavior of
parents on children. Then further she shared her views to overcome this effect by
behavioral change among parents. The purpose was to teach the mothers of kids
studying in Bhagini Mandal Shishu Mandir.
Students of M.Sc. Human Development organized few games in order to entertain
mothers, and they were also awarded prize. Leaflets on related subjects were
distributed. In this Mothers Meeting, apart from Chief Guest Dr.Sapna A.Henry,
Mrs.Pratibha Bajpai, Head, Human Development, Ms.Sushma Ghai, Assistant
Professor, Ku.Manisha Lakda, Guest Lecturer, Mrs.Mendhekar, Principal Shishu
Mandir, Mrs.Vidya Gowardhan, President Bhagini Mandal, and students of
M.Sc.Ist and IIIrd semester HD witness the occasion.
On 10.09.2014, Dr,Smt.Nishi Bhamri, Principal Govt.PGBT College Bilaspur gave
information and discussed on family relations and the problems facing today. This
function was organized by the students of M.Sc. IIIrd semester HD. Principal of
the college, senior professors, faculty members, staffs, and students of the
department were present in the occasion. Leaflets regarding subject matter were
distributed. Subject related Resource File Observation was given to mothers.
Entertaining activities were performed for the mothers by the students.
PARENT MEETING
On 20.09.2014, Mrs.Grace Kujur, subject expert and counselor, Mental
Rehabilitation Centre, Bilaspur gave a lecture on rehabilitation of mentally
retarded and special children. She further discussed about the subject with the
guardians of such children. Leaflets were distributed. Biscuits and chocolates were
distributed among the special children of Shri. Special Care Centre. Mrs. Pratibha
Bajpai and Ms.Sushma Ghai , subject teachers discussed and gave suggestions to
overcome the problems which parents of such children were facing.
VISIT TO VILLAGE LOFANDI
On 15.11.2014, Students of the department actively participated in the survey of
village Lofandi. The purpose of the survey of Anganbadi by the students was to
check food and its nutritional value, child rearing and problems of mothers.
Leaflets regarding the subject were distributed among them. Activities in the
village to aware villagers were also a part. Skit was performed to portray the bad
effects of the dowry. Further some activities were shown to bring awareness about
the nutritional value of green vegetables. To promote primary education and home
related subjects were also discussed and informed the need and importance of it.
REPUBLIC DAY FUNCTION
On 26.1.2015, Students of the department helped the school children of Special
Care Centre, in decorating tableau for the Republic Day function. It encourages
kids to enhance their creative skills and to know more about India’s culture and
history. They all participated with enthusiasm.
CASE STUDY:
OLD PEOPLE – THEIR PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
On 27.1.2015, students of the department did Case Study of Old people- their
problems and solutions. Entertaining activities for old people were organized
including Bhajan sandhya and snacks were also distributed. Dr. Sapna Henry,
Principal, Government College, Takhatpur delivered a lecture discussing about the
problems old people face and about the mental health issue in old age.

SESSION 2015-2016
MOTHERS MEETING
On 29.8.2015, first mothers meeting of the session, Dr. Amit Pandey, Primary
Health Centre, Sargaon delivered a lecture and discussed on diseases among
children. Subject related leaflets were distributed. Quiz competition for mothers
was organized and winners were awarded with prizes. Students delivered a lecture
on common diseases on children, its remedies and precautions.
SURVEY OF ANAND NIKETAN DEAF SCHOOL
On 2.9.2015, the arrangements and activities of Anand Niketan Deaf School, Tilak
Nager, Bilaspur was surveyed by the students of the department. Fruits and
biscuits were distributed among the children of the school. Case study of deaf
children was done by the students.
MOTHERS MEETING
On 12.9.2015, at second mothers meeting, Smt. Kanak Gowardhan, Subject Expert
and Counselor gave a talk and discussed about the Psychological needs and
problems of pre-school children. Subject related leaflets were distributed and an
exhibition was held on Nutritional and Low Cost Food. Nutritional and Low Cost
Food were prepared by the students and were tasted by the people present there.
They were told how to prepare and provided them recipes. Entertaining programs
were organized for mothers and were awarded prize for Best Bhajan Presenter.
VISIT TO SHREE SPECIAL CARE CENTRE
On 25.9.2015, case study on specially challenged children was done. Survey of the
environment and activities of the organization was observed by the students of the
department. Further, snacks for the specially challenged children were distributed.
VISIT TO MENTAL HOSPITAL, SENDRI BILASPUR
On 3.10.2015, the students of the department visited Mental Hospital, Sendri,
Bilaspur. They visited various wards and units and they gathered information and
interconnection with patients.
VISIT TO DEAF AND DUMB SCHOOL, TIFRA BILASPUR
On 9.10.2015, students of the department visited Deaf & Dumb School, Tifra,
Bilaspur. Information regarding the institution and interconnection with children
were known. Fruits and biscuits were distributed to the children.
VISIT TO SHREE SPECIAL CARE CENTRE, BILASPUR
On 30.10.2015, during mothers meeting, students of the department gave talks on
special children and their family. Subject experts Smt. Meena Gupta, Counselor,
The Jain International School, Bilaspur shared her views and discussed with the
guardians about the problems and suggested remedies for the special children.
Fruits were distributed to the children.
MOTHERS MEETING
On 12.11.2015, third mothers meeting, Dr. Sapna Henry delivered a lecture on
Attitude and Behaviour of the Parents. Leaflets on related subject were distributed
by the students of the department. Chairperson and the teachers of the Bhagini
Mandal Shishu Mandir discussed with mothers on the related subject.
VISIT TO KALYAN KUNJ OLDAGE HOME,MASANGANJ
BILASPUR
On 9.1.2016, a survey of Kalyankunj Old Age Home, Masanganj, Bilaspur was
made by the students and discussed the problems of old men and women. They
interacted with them, tried to help them, and discussed various issues which old
people face. Further they distributed snacks to them.
VISIT TO ‘BASERA’ WOMEN OLDAGE HOME
On 23.1.2016, the institution BASERA Women Old Age Home, Ameri Road, was
surveyed. Institution related information was taken from old women of the
Ashram. Bhajan Sandhya was organized for them by the students and fruits were
distributed.
VISIT TO KALYAN KUNJ OLDAGE HOME, MASANGANJ
BILASPUR
On 8.2.2016, Smt. Sudha Marda, REKI Expert taught easy going methods to
upgrade physical and mental illness among old people at Kalyan Kunj Old Age
Home, Masanganj, Bilaspur. Smt. Pratibha Bajpai, Head, Department of Human
Development and Ms. Sushma Ghai along with Mrs. Marda discussed the
problems of old age and gave suggestion to cure the problems.

VISIT TO SHREE SPECIAL CARE CENTRE
On 15.10.2016, at mothers meeting, Ms. Lalita Sahu, Professor In Psychology,
Government Mata Sabri Naveen Girls College, Bilaspur shared her views on
Special Children and their problems. She suggested to parents how to handle the
problems of such children. Fruits and biscuits were distributed to the children.
Smt. Prabita Bajpai, Head, Department of Human Development gave suggestions
to solve the problems which the parents face. Ms. Sushma Gai, Assistant Professor
also suggested few solutions regarding the problems of the special children.
VISIT TO MENTAL HOSPITAL,SENDRI BILASPUR
On 20.10.2016, students visited the State Mental Hospital, Sendri, Bilaspur. Case
study was done and gathers information about the working in the hospital.

On 26.10.2016, during mothers meeting a lecture was delivered on the activities of
child bearing by Ms. Sushma Gai, Assistant Professor Department of Home
Science. She shared her view and interacted on the subject. Smt. Pratibha Bajpai
also discussed about the development of habits among small children. Subject
related leaflets were distributed. Entertaining programs were performed by the
mothers.
MOTHERS MEETING
On 3.11.2016, at mothers meeting Dr. Rakesh Sahu, Subject Expert and
Pediatrician gave information about diseases among small children. Lectures and
interaction sessions were held on the subject. Professors and students actively
participated and shared their views.

On 6.1.2017, survey of Kalyan Kunj Old Age Home was done. Case study on old
women and men were done. Snacks were distributed to them.

MOTHERS MEETING
On 17.7.2017, at first mothers meeting on the subject ‘Children Parent
Relations’ lecture was delivered by the subject expert Dr. Sapna A Henry, Former
Principal, Government College, Takatpur. The students also presented on their
subject a detailed presentation. Leaflets were distributed to the mothers. Subject
experts Smt. Pratiba Bajpai and Ms. Sushma Ghai also addressed and redressed the
problems of the mothers followed by lecture by the Chairperson of Bhagni Mandal,
Smt Vidhya Gowerdhan.
MOTHERS MEETING
On 7.9.2017, at second mothers meeting on the subject ‘Common diseases of
Children’ subject expert Dr. Ajay Pandey provided information to the mothers in
respect of measures to prevent the common diseases. The students also presented
their statement on the subject. Leaflets on the subject was distributed to the
mothers, mothers were imparted information through posters also followed by
various sports activities.
MOTHERS MEETING
On 27.9.2017, third mothers meeting. On the subject ‘Child rearing practices and
socialization’ a lecture was delivered by Smt. Pratibha Bajpai, Head Department
of HD. Leaflets were distributed, entertaining games for the mothers were
organized and the winners were awarded prizes. Problems of mothers were
addressed and redressed by Smt. Vidhya Gowardhan and the Subject Expert.
VISIT TO SHREE SPECIAL CARE CENTRE,BILASPUR
On 10.10.2017, fourth mothers meeting, Smt. Kanak Gowardhan, Psychoanalyst
delivered lecture on the subject ‘Needs and Requirement of Differently Abled
Children’. Fruits and biscuits were distributed to children, leaflets to the mothers;
resource file was made available for perusal to the mothers followed by address of
the Principal of the school.
MOTHERS MEETING
On 10.11.2017, fifth mothers meeting, on the subject of ‘Attitude of Guardian &
Children’ was organized. The subject expert Smt. Meena Gupta, Counselor on the
subject from The Jain International School, Bilaspur delivered the lecture.
Information on the subject was dispersed by distributing leaflets and other modes
to the mothers. Various activities were carried by the mothers.
VISIT TO MENTAL HOSPITAL, SENDRI BILASPUR
On 17.11.2017, case study of mentally ill patients was carried out. Visit was made
to the mental hospital. Speech was delivered by Shri. Lahre, Psychiatrist and
information about the working was obtained.
VISIT TO KALYANKUNJ OLD AGE HOME, MASANKUNJ
BILASPUR
On 10.3.2018, students gathered information on activities of the Old Age Home at
Masanganj, Bilaspur, conducted a survey there and presented various entertaining
programs and Bhajan Sandhya. The students also studied the personality of old
people.
VISIT TO KALYANKUNJ OLD AGE HOME, AZAD NAGAR
BILASPUR
On 21.3.2018, Old People at the Old Age Home were imparted taught various
physiotherapy techniques. Fruits and sweets were distributed and the problems of
old people addressed and redressed.
VISIT TO OLD AGE HOME ‘BASERA’ NEHRU NAGAR
BILASPUR
On 24.3.2018, Smt. Sudha Marda taught the techniques and practices for good
health in old age, distribution of snacks to old people by the students were done.
During the session extension activities bythe students were completed as its
mandatory to present the certificate after completion in next session. The
organising agencies were Bhagini Mandal Shishu Mandir, Kalyan Kunj Old Age
Home, Village Ratanpur, and Shree Special care centre. Record was attached

activities for the mothers.

On 13.10.2018, Ms. Lalita Sahu, Professor, Psychology, Government Mata Sabri
Naveen Girls College, Bilaspur delivered lecture on the subject ‘Problems of
Specially Abled Children’. Fruits and biscuits were distributed to such
differently abled children of the institution. Leaflets were distributed to the
guardians of the children followed by entertainment program and games to
encourage them.

On 22.11.2018, information on the subject ‘Common diseases in children’ was
provided by Dr. Ajay Pandey, Subject Expert. Students also made presentation on
the said subject, information was also provided to the mothers through posters
followed by distribution of leaflets and entertaining sports activities by the
students.
VISIT TO VILLAGE PARSADA
On 14.9.2018, the students organized a survey of village Parsada and enquired
about the difficulties faced by the residents. Information was disseminated, a play
on superstition was presented by the students and information was given through
posters to the villagers. The villagers were also informed about the various
schemes of the Government by the Department Head.
VISIT TO SANJIVINI HOSPITAL, BILASPUR
On 12.10.2018, students of BSc.(Hon.) visited Sanjivini Hospital to study Cardio
Nutrition among patients (Liver & Kidney) diseases. Case study, bio-chemical
parameters related reports, diseases and its changes at various stages was imparted
by them.
VISIT TO VILLAGE GHUTKU
On 2.11.2018, students visited Village Gutku, conducted a survey and thereafter
imparted information, training and delivered lecture ‘On the importance of First
Aid Box and requirement of Primary Treatment’. Information was provided
through posters. Smt. Pratibha Bajpai and Ms. Sushma Ghai also provided
information to the villagers.
VISIT TO KIMS HOSPITAL
On 6.11.2018, a health survey was conducted by the students of the department.
They submitted report of case study relating to cardiac disease and diabetic
patients. A survey was conducted and the report on dietary was prepared.
VISIT TO KALYANKUNJ OLD AGE HOME
On 5.1.2019, the students visited Kalyankunj Old Age Home, Azad Nagar,
Bilaspur, conducted a survey, and gathered information about the activities of the
old age home and distributed fruit and sweets.
VISIT TO KALYANKUNJ OLD AGE HOME
On 16.3.2019, Smt. Sujata Bajpai, Physiotherapist addressed physical and mental
problems of old people and taught physiotherapy technique to the old people living
in Kalyankunj Old Age Home, Azad Nagar, Bilaspur. Fruits were distributed.
VISIT TO MENTAL HOSPITAL, SENDRI BILASPUR
On 28.3.2019, students visited State Mental Hospital, Sendri, Bilaspur, conducted
case study of mentally ill persons, and gathered information about the working
pattern and activities of the hospital.
