Even with the recent dividends issued by the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation back to the hard working employers of Ohio, your organization should still consider evaluating par-ticipation in an alternative rat-ing program now for the 2014 policy year to further increase your savings.
Through our workers’ compen-sation third party administrator, CompManagement, Inc., your organization can see how par-ticipation in a program will im-pact your costs as well as how these programs can be stacked together to achieve the maxi-mum savings available for your organization.
•Group Rating Program: Up-front discounts typically range between 15 percent to the maximum discount avail-able from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation which for policy year 2013 was 53 percent.
•Group Retrospective Program: Retrospective refunds typi-cally range between 25-50 percent; this program may be a good alternative discount program for companies that may not be eligible for Group Rating but have an individual premium over $15,000 and a focus on safety, emphasis on transitional duty and other cost containment strategies.
•Stacking Options: Add on participation in Destination Excellence (1-3 percent), Drug Free Safety Program (4-7 percent), $15k Medical Only Program, and Safety Council performance bonus (2 per-cent) when participating in Group Rating. If participating in Group Retrospective Rat-ing, add on Destination Excel-lence (1-3 percent) and Safety Council participation discount (2 percent).
Already participating in a pro-gram and want more than a projection of savings that may actually be producing higher premiums than necessary?
CompManagement’s unique approach to Group Rating and Group Retrospective Rating has helped thousands of employers receive substantial premium re-ductions. Take this free, no-ob-ligation opportunity to explore your options for 2014 before automatically renewing with your current provider.
Simply complete a Temporary Authorization to Review Infor-mation (AC-3) form by clicking here or contact CompManage-ment at (800) 825-6755, select option 3 and speak to a custom-er support representative.

Lake County Port Authority has New Name...Soon to Have New Look New logo and new website in the works
The Lake County Ohio Port and Economic Development Authority is the new name for the Lake County Port Authority. The name change was enacted by the Lake County Commissioners at their July 11 meeting.
“We believe the new name more completely reflects our desire to promote economic development in Lake County,” said Commissioner Dan Troy. “While still acting as an Ohio Port Authority, the new name reflects their primary mission-jobs,” added Commissioner Troy. Executive Director Mark Rantala said, “We think the new name better reflects our location and our mission. We are one of the 11 “Lake Coun-ties” in the United States and we want site selectors to be able to find us. We plan to continue our small business programs and financing, but expand our role as the economic development organization for all of Lake County.”

There is a new refreshing buzz on the street and in the news. New Day Cleveland (Channel 8) just ran an hour long show 7/22/13 on Fairport Harbor! People all over the Village and in our surrounding area are talking about coastal de-velopment and most importantly, Fairport Harbor. Fairport Harbor is
leading this conversation and will be the focal point of development.
Exciting developments are in the works toward putting Fairport Harbor on the map as a year-round destination for tourism and a great place to live. We are pro-gressing on a bikeway plan with
other communities and walking paths with signage through the town. Record crowds attended the Mardi Gras this year. A thriv-ing downtown business district is vital to keep the momentum growing!
Help us continue to shift the thinking about our Village of Fair-port Harbor
From…“What Used to Be”
To…“What Will Be!”
Come walk with us. We want to “vision” with you about “What will Be” as business owners, pro-spective business owners, entre-preneurs and a valued member of the Lake County. Learn a brief his-tory on how each building--includ-ing our old theater, has been a part of the Fairport community over the years as well. Light snacks and re-freshments will be served.

Dworken & Bernstein Co., L.P.A. is pleased to announce that highly regarded immigration attorney Kim Alabasi is now associated with the firm in an Of Counsel capacity. Ms. Alabasi announced that she will be collaborating with Dworken & Bernstein to expand her practice in Lake County, recognizing the growing need for legal immigration services in this region.
Irving Rosner, a Dworken & Bernstein partner, viewed the opportunity to work with Ms. Alabasi as a “win-win-win” for Lake County, Dworken & Bernstein and Alabasi. Rosner stated that Dworken & Bernstein recognizes the needs of Lake County businesses and residents in this practice area and views the opportunity as one which will provide those requiring immigration services access to the full spectrum of legal services already offered by Dworken & Bernstein.

The increase in the Hispanic/Latino community is only expected to rise as 40% of the students in the city’s schools are Hispanic. Kim Alabasi has practiced in the area of Immigration since 2004. Notably, Mrs. Alabasi speaks Spanish fluently. She earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish/Sociology from Marquette University and later went on to work in Mexico, first as a teacher in Puebla, Mexico for two years, followed by a job with the non-profit group IMIFAP in Mexico City, Mexico. “Unique Solutions from Passionate Professionals You Can Count On”
The exchange is an online mar-ketplace where individuals and small businesses can shop for insurance and compare health plans, get answers to questions, find out if they are eligible for tax credits for private insurance, and enroll in a health plan that meets their needs. Exchanges will begin to offer products in October, 2013. They must be up and running by January 1, 2014.
How will people get insurance in 2014?
Most Americans will have to make a decision about their health insurance in 2014:
• Continue to get it through their employer if available
• Buy an individual plan through the Exchange or the traditional Individual market
• Enroll in a government spon-sored plan, if eligible
• Go uninsured and pay a pen-alty (unless they qualify for an exemption)
Who is eligible for a subsidy if they buy health insurance on the exchange?
Financial assistance in the form of subsidies or tax credits will be available to individuals and families if their income is be-tween 100 and 400 percent of the federal poverty level. That’s $11,490 to $45,960 for individ-uals and $23,550 to $94,200 for families, as of 2013.
They must also not have access to minimum essential coverage through the government, their employer – or the coverage being offered is not affordable
because their share of the pre-mium is more than 9.5 percent of their income.
How will health care exchanges be set up?
States can choose to set up ex-changes in one of three ways:
•State-run facilitator model – any health insurance company that meets the minimum state and federal requirements can be in this exchange. The companies all compete in an open market.
•State-run active purchaser model – the state solicits bids from health insurance compa-nies and negotiates the prices as well as the benefits that will be offered on the exchange.
•Federally-run model – the U.S. Department of Health and Hu-
HEALTHCARE REFORM INFO--Exchanges
What is the Exchange?man Services will run exchanges in states that choose not to cre-ate one.
What happens if a person doesn’t buy health insurance in 2014?
If an individual doesn’t buy a health plan in 2014, they will pay a penalty unless they qualify for an individual exemption. The penalty amount will start at $95 or 1 percent of taxable income (whichever is greater), and in-crease over the years with an-nual adjustments through 2017 and beyond.

Deploying fiber to 1 million additional business customer locations
– 50 percent of the multi-tenant business buildings – in AT&T’s
22-state footprint by 2015.
Densification of AT&T’s national wireless network through deployment of
small cells, distributed antenna systems and macro cells.
Project VIP Expected to Support New Services for Customers
Expanding AT&T’s 4G LTE network to 300 million people, combined with its leadership in smartphones and data access, is expected to provide a large platform for the next wave of
growth in mobility, including:
AT&T Digital LifeTM: AT&T Digital Life is an all-IP wireless based home security and automation service that will let
consumers manage their home from virtually any smartphone, tablet or PC.
Mobile Premise Solutions: This new nationwide service is an alternative for wireline voice service and in the future will
include high-speed IP Internet data services.
Isis Mobile WalletTM: Allows users to pay for goods on their mobile devices. Market trials are underway.
Working with the FCC to Quickly Implement Broadband Networks of the Future
Ensuring that all Americans receive the benefits and opportunities of next-generation IP-based technologies and
services will depend largely on private sector investment to expand broadband deployment.
To maximize and promote such private sector investment will require the FCC to take action to establish a 21st century
regulatory framework that facilitates the transition to the IP networks of the future by removing regulatory disincentives
and impediments to such investment, including rules that could require carriers to maintain legacy facilities and services
even after they have deployed IP-based alternatives.
AT&T has asked the FCC to continue the process of creating such a framework, which it began in 2011 with its landmark
reforms of its universal service and intercarrier compensation regimes, by starting a new proceeding to consider how
best to transition to new IP-based “smart” networks and technologies.
Such a proceeding will begin the necessary dialogue to enable AT&T and other incumbent telephone companies to bring
the benefits of high-speed Internet to more consumers and businesses, spur innovation, enhance economic growth and
job creation and further strengthen the economy.

How to Succeed with Internet Marketing
Internet marketing is like working out, learning a new language and furthering your artistic abilities.
All require dedication, patience, repetition and freshness.
Dedication
Nothing comes easily! Everything requires time and effort. Whether you want to be an Olympic
athlete or paint like Leonardo da Vinci; it requires constant dedication. If you decide to work really
hard for several weeks, then you'll start to see some results. Once you see results, maybe you slack off
for a week or so. What happens when you are working out? Your results are affected. Maybe you gain
a few pounds back or can no longer lift the same weight. With everything you do, dedication will
provide you with results.
Patience
Can you meet a work out goal in a day, a week? Sure you can take short cuts like steroids, but do they
provide long term, sustainable results? Not at all, and many short cuts can have negative effects.
Internet marketing requires patience. If you are dedicated to put the time and effort in, then you will see
results. Maybe not in a day or a week, but they will come. Results built on patience will be more
positive and beneficial than any built on a shortcut.
Repetition
Can you lift weights one day, never do it again and still see results? Repetition is the key to success.
Maybe you tried posting to Facebook and no one replied, or you sent an email newsletter with a coupon
and did not see a response. Just because you did not see a response, does not mean you should stop.
Repetition builds brand awareness. Stay in your consumers mind. The results will come.
Freshness
For a successful exercise routine, you have to change that routine. After a while, your body gets used
to it and you might even get bored. Marketing is the same. Continue updating your website content
and other strategies. Run a blog, a contest, a coupon, add a website feature or branch onto Pinterest.
Keeping things fresh will draw new consumers and keep old ones coming back.
