Series LFUSG-BUnder Sink Guardian®
Series LFUSG-B Under Sink Guardian® 3 ⁄ 8" (10mm) compressionfitting thermostatic mixing valves maintain and limit hot water todesired selectable temperature between 80°F and 120°F (27°Cand 49°C) with flow rates as low as 0.5 gpm (1.9 lpm) and ashigh as 2.5 gpm (9.5 lpm). The mixing valve is listed to ASSEStandard 1070 for single fixture applications. The LFUSG-B seriesuses a double throttling design to control both the hot and coldwater supply to the mixed outlet.The LFUSG-B features LeadFree* construction to comply with Lead Free* installation require-ments. The superior flow characteristics of this valve provideaccurate temperature control (±3°F) with low pressure drop.
As an added feature, the LFUSG-B -M1 incorporates dual check valves to protect against cross-flow and integral screensto filter out debris.

Applications The unit is intended for under sink installation to control the hotwater temperature and prevent accidental scalding. The watertemperature must be adjusted by the installer using a thermom-eter to measure the hot water temperature at the faucet outlet.Maximum temperature of 110°F (43°C) is recommended.
Specifications
A Thermostatic Mixing Valve shall be installed on the hot watersupply to the fixture. The valve shall be ASSE Standards 1070listed and control the temperature of the hot water. It shall have aLead Free* brass body. Body shall be constructed using LeadFree* Brass. Lead Free* under counter thermostatic valves shallcomply with state codes and standards, where applicable,requiring reduced lead content. The valve shall include integralcheck valves, integral screens and an ad justment cap withlockin feature. The valve shall be provided with 3 ⁄ 8" (10mm) malecompression fittings. The valve shall be Watts Series LFUSG-B.

Application NoteDelivery of water to fixtures intended for use in bathing or wash-ing should always be controlled by valves listed to ASSE Stan-dard 1016 or ASSE Standard 1070 such as Watts Series LFUSGor LFMMV mixing valves.
These valves provide the user with both scald protection andprotection from thermal shock.
The installer should always test to verify temperature settingafter installation.
