INTO IT. OVER IT.PROPERNO SLEEP RECORDS / PUNK

• Having written, recorded and played with an eclectic pedigree of artists such as Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start, The Progress, and Stay Ahead of the Weather, IIOI’s culmination of experiences with said bands have stylistically fused together for the grand effort that is Weiss’ debut LP. The album’s release will mark a four year commemoration of his 52 Weeks project (where from September 2007 to September 2008 he wrote and recorded one track each week for a year, making them available online before being approached by No Sleep Records who released them as a 2xCD in June of 2009.• The lyrical concepts of “Proper” and it’s all around aura stems from autobiographical and literal exemplifi cations which have taken place over the past year of Weiss’ life, most of which occurring in Chicago where he now resides. The album culminates in a heady yet straightforward melodic stew resembling Sunny Day Real Estate, Death Cab For Cutie and Dismemberment Plan to name a few, along with impassioned songwriting executed with the potency and ardor of Chuck Regan and Colin Meloy .• “Proper” was recorded at Blacklodge Studios in Eudora, KS and co-produced by Ed Rose. The album features contributions from Nick Wakim of Stay Ahead of the Weather/CSTVT on drums and Nathan Ellis of The Casket Lottery.

WARPAINTTHE FOOL (DELUXE ED)ROUGH TRADE / ALTERNATIVE

• Los Angeles all-girl four-piece Warpaint are set to Re release their debut album The Fool as a deluxe edition through Rough Trade.• They weave intricate guitar lines, hypnotic vocals, and driving post-punk rhythms into gorgeous, sprawling songs that skirt the line between the soundscapes of psychedelia and intimacy.• This deluxe reissue of debut album The Fool packaged together with the EP Exquisite Corpse. With the girls coming to the end of touring for the album, and talk of the writing and recording their follow-up under way, hopefully something new from the Warpaint camp will appear before the end of the year (wishful thinking?).

• Every now and then a band comes along and speaks to the hearts of kids everywhere, as the true voice of their generation. Man Overboard is that band. In an age when overnight internet sessions are an everyday occur-rence, it’s hard to fi nd a band that’s grown organically, the old fashioned way, with word of mouth and non-stop touring while winning kids over one show at a time.• Man Overboard has been busy touring the world non-stop for the past 3 years, having shared the stage with the likes of Senses Fail, Polar Bear Club, Set Your Goals, and more. The bands buzz reached New Found Glory’s guitar player Steve Klein who fell in love with their infec-tious pop-punk sound and catchy choruses. He was so impressed with the band that he offered to produce the bands self-titled Rise Records debut. Man Overboard is humbled by their success, but also know that they still have a long road ahead of them. In the grand scheme of things, it’s only the beginning. Man Overboard will be touring this fall with New Found Glory, Set Your Goals, and The Wonder Years. They’ll continue to play every show like it is their last and treat every fan like their fi rst.• RIYL : POP PUNK! NEW FOUND GLORY, THE WONDER YEARS, SET YOUR GOALS

OLD MAN MARKLEYPARTY SHACKFAT WRECK / PUNK

• A new single on Fat Wreck Chords from US punk/bluegrass combo (think Flogging Molly but with bluegrass rather than Celtic influence).• The title track is quintessential Old Man Markley in both name and content. Lightning fast banjo, violin, and guitars play off sweet harmonies about drunken revelry, perfectly summing up an OMM live performance. The b-side is an interpretation of the One Man Army classic ‘The Holidays’, done in a manner which only Old Man Markley are capable.• Touring presently with NOFX and Anti-Flag.

• Fresh out of school, Evaline’s earliest recordings found their way to The Used’s Quinn Allman who produced the EP: Postpartum Modesty, A Portrait of Skin - released on Madonna’s Maverick label in 2006. This was followed by two Warped Tours and a Taste of Chaos tour, which quickly attracted a loyal and ardent fanbase in USA.• Now in their early twenties Evaline are Richard Perry, (Vocals, Cello and keys) Dominic DiCiano (Guitar), Steven Pedersen (Bass), Christian Lewis (Guitar) and the Petersen brothers Greg (drums) and Dan (guitar). After Maverick folded Evaline re-evaluated their sound and returned with a full quota of startling tracks, producing unrivalled rock songs using layered sounds, intense guitars and swooning vocals. In this time, Greg’s brother Daniel was added on baritone guitar.• ‘Woven Material’ was recorded in the UK and produced by Dan Austin and spans writing from the last three years. In the last few months the band has supported the likes of Deftones, Neon Trees, Dredg, Placebo, Young Guns and Paper Tongues. Recent shows at SXSW earned them rave reviews including andPop’s top 6 bands of SXSW.• The band have just left Europe after impressing European festival crowds with shows at Hard Rock Calling (London), T in The Park (Scotland), Werchter (Belgium), Hurricane/ Southside (Germany) Arras Festival with Coldplay (France) and were handpicked by My Chemical Romance to support them at iTunes festival in London. They have now returned to the USA to start a West Coast club tour, returning to UK in the autumn.

• The Hollies were one of the most successful British groups of the 60s and early 70s and have continued to perform up to the present day. ’Look Through Any Window’ tells the story of their peak years from 1963 to 1975 when the band clocked up 27 UK Top 40 singles, 17 of which were Top 10s. They were also part of the “British Invasion” led by the Beatles that stormed the US charts in the sixties and scored hit singles in many other countries around the world.• This DVD is the history of the Hollies, told through newly fi lmed interviews with band members Allan Clarke, Graham Nash, Tony Hicks and Bobby Elliott and includes fantastic vintage footage of the Hollies performing their classic tracks in full.• Bonus Features: Option to play the 22 complete song performances without the interviews.
