Shelter In
There is an announcement over the loudspeaker that a strange dog, without a leash, is loose on the playground? What should we do?
![Page 6: September 25.pptx](https://reader035.fdocuments.in/reader035/viewer/2022062315/563db95d550346aa9a9c9f7b/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
Shelter In
A Shelter-In is used when there is some type of danger outside of the building and it is not safe to go outside. It is also dangerous to leave the doors open because we don’t want the danger to get into the building. The class will be able to still continue the school day as usual, but we are not going to go out of the building.

Lockdown

Lockdown
A person has come into the building but does not show any identification and won’t explain why they want to come into the building. Our security agent does not think this is a safe thing. What should we do?

Lockdown
1. Beginning of drill: "Attention, we are in a soft or hard Lockdown. Take proper action.”
2. Students will go to the back of the classroom so they are out of sight from the door.
3. The teacher will turn out the lights, check to see if any student is in the hall, and lock the door.
4. Students will have to remain silent in the room for our own safety.
5. Ending of drill: “The Lockdown has been lifted.”

Evacuation
The fire alarm begins to ring and we smell smoke. What do we need to do?

Evacuation
That the alarm will be heard, the class will line up at the door.
The class will leave the building and go to the designated location.
The most important thing to remember is to listen and follow directions.
