“OMNIFIC” speaks of “being creative”
is very apt for the specialized university
like Dr.YSRAFU Kadapa. “13” specialized
disciplines were commenced under
this university and the departments are
growing in “leaps and bounds” through
its specialized faculty drawn from
premier institutions from different parts of the country in Art,
Architecture, design, planning and technology disciplines.
Students are very enthusiastically joining and responding
to the growing need of these specialized disciplines. I wish the
publication committee of Dr.YSRAFU, a grand overwhelming
response to reach out through this e-magazine in the time to
come.

My Dear Readers
I would like to take this opportunity to greet everyone and
inform you about the publication of the second issue of the
university magazine. Despite challenging times, our team has
put in immense effort with heart and soul to present high-quality
content to all readers. Our team is looking forward to publishing
more interesting content about photography, art, culture, and
design. We believe that this is only possible with the help of our
readers, so encourage all the readers to submit their reviews.
This issue has transported me back to my college days,
when I was a photography enthusiast who aspired to have my
photographs published in college magazines. This, I believe, will
be an excellent platform for students and individuals to share
their ideas and showcase their talents. For general readers, I can
assure you that reading and learning about it will be a pleasurable
experience.
I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has
published and read the magazine. I thank the university for its
unwavering support and hope you enjoy reading the magazine as
much as we did.

Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre
On January 7, 1839, members of the French
Académie des Sciences were shown products
of an invention that would forever change the
nature of visual representation: photography.
The astonishingly precise pictures they saw were
the work of Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre
(1787–1851). From the moment of its birth,
photography had a dual character—as a medium
of artistic expression and as a powerful scientific
tool—and Daguerre promoted his invention on
both fronts.

It is an honor to be a part of one of Andhra
Pradesh’s best universities. The university has
pioneered the introduction of educational
programmes in specialized fields at the
bachelor and master’s levels. Some of which
are not currently available anywhere else in the state. Students
had to travel to different states to study this courses. To address
this, the A.P state has established a state-level specialized
university that provides educational opportunities for students.
Our university will produce the best architects, artists, and
planners in the country to meet the challenges of global
physical and socio-environmental development.

An analytical and anthropometrical study on ‘Scale & Proportion’ on Ganga and Yamuna Sculptures: West Gate- South & North wall, from Pushpagiri Temple, Kadapa, AP:
Scale and Proportion, one of the most important principle in Art & Design, which followed from long back to measure the accurate knowledge of the artist philosophy. Apart from strong mythological significance, to narrate a story -relief sculptures have been used in different size with iconography.
Dated back to the historical background on art, artist mostly used visual and graphical scale compare to technical scale. Especially in this particular sculpture the ratio follows estimate 1:2 comparing with actual average life size Indian human height ( As per NIN-National Institute of Nutrition the new average height for Indian
men is 5.8 feet (177 cm), and that for women is 5.3 feet (162 cm) which was before for women- 5’2’’ and for Men 5’6’’).
Realism touches the rhythm, broken lines breaks the monotony, exaggerated ornamentations brings the beauty, beauty enhance the credibility, credibility leads to attract specters.
This illustration is detail of visual measurement where black line (Fig- 3 & 4) is for dividing body organs with computation measurement, yellow line indicates the same height, orange is the measure line of total height.
Ganga, high relief sculpture represented as a young mesmerizing beauty adorned with jewelry, standing with tribhanga poses, looking forward, standing on makara – which are the guardians of thresholds and entryways executing the story.
