People are going crazy from being in lock-down!

I've been talking about this with my microwave and toaster and

we all agree that things are getting bad.

And I certainly said nothing to

the refrigerator as he was acting

cold and distant. The iron

calmed me down when she said

no situation is too pressing.

The vacuum was unsympathetic

and told me to just suck it up.

The ceiling fan was more

optimistic and said it would all

soon blow over.

The toilet looked a bit flushed

when I asked its opinion.

The door knob told me to get a

grip.

The front door said I was

unhinged and the curtains told

me to pull myself together.

Things are getting way past

crazy around

Here! (From the Regenesis Report.)

I didn't mention anything to

the washing machine since she

puts a different spin on

everything.

September Birthday’s

Welcome Lakota John Baca at 69 Cottonwood Lane. After living

in New Zealand and Australia has now come full circle and has

come back home. His Sister, Monica, is how he found his way to

our little “Gem Community” of Harrisburg.

Lakota is the Spirit and Wellness founder of 4 Winds Wellness and

also the owner of American Indian Maintenance Construction

and home repair. He plans to live here full time and is grateful to

be a part of the community. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Please, please make

sure you are keeping

your remodeling

projects cleaned up

from nails, screws,

etc. We have

experienced flats in

the park!!!

Activity Committee Message

So glad to start to see our many neighbors back to our neighborhood!

Tho it’s still hot we are seeing neighbors riding & walking around more!

Need to add from last month newsletter that the Activity Committee had also distributed cookies and coconut clusters

“Thank You “to the helicopter/ plane guys in Cedar! It’s from your donations from previous dinners and Bargindale

table that we can do things like this! So Thank you for supporting!

On going:

Our Auction is set for Saturday Nov 7th!

We are still in need of donation of homemade gift items! Donations can be brought to the clubhouse office to be picked

up or call Cindy at 435-669-9415 to pick up! This is a fundraiser for the Activity Committee to continue to help

improve the pool and kitchen areas! Welcome back dinner consisting of BBQ chicken and ribs, salad, veggies, rolls,

Lemonade/water/coffee will be provided! Hopefully we will be open and can go through with our plans-pending

COVID!

Cookbook deadline is October 15 ! Plan to get together favorite family/potluck recipes together for sale and for

November Auction! Can email them to Cindy at [email protected] or text to 435-669-9415 or mail to Cindy

Bryant at 13 Redbluff Dr Hurricane,Ut 84737. Thank you-know we have had some great ones at the potlucks!

Activity Committee has purchased two green recycling containers! They are marked for Plastic(water bottles, etc) and

Cans (soda cans/aluminum)! Please make use of these during Potlucks or gatherings! Thank you in advance!

We are still waiting for our 12x20 Gazebo that has been out of stock through Costco! I also called the manufacturer &

they are out! So looks like it won’t happen till Spring😬 We have been approved by the ACC/IC committee and do not

need a permit according to Hurricane City! It will be a nice addition to the back BBQ area behind the pool!

Thank you again Harrisburg Board for using our pool fund budget for purchasing our new pool lounge chairs! They are

great! We-activity committee & water aerobics ladies had a chair webbing day to repair an older lounger that had

gotten sun rot! Thank you ladies! More webbing is on its way!

Survey Monkey survey will be sent out for us due to a suggestion that was brought to our attention about having a sign

up for neighbors who would like other neighbors know they are having issues and need help, are ok, or would like

visitors! Know we all want to help our neighbors in need but don’t want to bother them if they prefer no visitors! Our

plan is to have a sign up sheet in the office & cardboard pieces for you to place in your front window! We all care and

want to be neighborly!

We have moved our Activity Committee meetings to the 2nd Monday of each month to better help us prepare our

calendar and newsletter! Also so we can have our bank statement in hand!

Hoping to get back to normal we would like to have a once a month craft day! If you would like to share a craft you do

or know, or an idea/interest let us know! Ideas: landscape painting, macrame, knitting /crocheting, cross stitch, thread

picture, cookie/cupcake decorating, candy/fondant making, etc! Contact Cindy 435-669-9415 or Linda at 801-564-

5209 or Yvonne at 435-233-0545 or MaryAnn at 435-590-2400! Let’s get together & learn/enjoy!

In these times it’s hard to plan much but we keep trying! Sorry we had to cancel our entertainment night in August!😢

Would of been fun! Someday-hopefully sooner than later we will be back to enjoying each other’s company!😉

Pickleball at 8am on Tuesday & Thursday at KOA court and Water Aerobics M-F 9am continues!

Meanwhile Take Care!🤗

What Should You Keep in the Car?

The recent fire so close to home has taught us that maybe we could be more prepared. Here is

a list of essential items.

Every vehicle should have an emergency supply kit located in the trunk. Kits should be checked every six months, and expired items should be replaced to keep it up to date. Vehicle emergency supply kits should include:

• A properly inflated spare tire, wheel wrench and tripod jack

• Jumper cables

• Tool kit and/or a multipurpose utility tool

• Flashlight and extra batteries

• Reflective triangles and brightly colored cloth to make your vehicle more visible

• Compass

• First aid kit with gauze, tape, bandages, antibiotic ointment, aspirin, a blanket, non-latex gloves, scissors,

hydrocortisone, thermometer, tweezers and instant cold compress

• Nonperishable, high-energy foods, such as unsalted nuts, dried fruits and hard candy

• Drinking water

• Reflective vest in case you need to walk to get help

• Car charger for your cell phone

• Fire extinguisher

• Duct tape

• Rain poncho

• Additional items for cold weather include a snow brush, shovel, windshield washer fluid, warm clothing, cat

litter for traction and blankets.

It is also a good idea to keep family and emergency phone numbers, including your auto insurance

provider and a towing company, in your phone.
