Strengths? Reading DE benchmark scores were highest in the county in 2nd grade, 2nd in the county in 1st grade and 3rd in the county in Kindergarten. Benchmark scores were about 80% proficient in 3rd and 5th grade.

Opportunities For Improvement? 4th grade was 75.6% proficient in reading according to DE Benchmark testing.

Strengths? 2nd grade students scored 87.3% and 71% of 5th graders scored level 3 or above which were highest in the county. The average score for Kindergarten students exceeded national goals for number identification.

Opportunities For Improvement? Twenty-eight 3rd grade students and 32 4th grade students scored a level 2 or below. Kindergarten and 1st grade students’ challenge is to meet national goals in missing numbers.
