CROWN: AUSSIE MILLIONS POKER CHAMPIONSHIP

Crown’s Aussie Millions Poker Championship is the largest, richest and most prestigious gaming event in the

Southern Hemisphere and is ranked fifth in the world. Featuring a comprehensive slate of tournaments in every

major poker variation, the Aussie Millions is also poker’s longest running tournament in the Southern

Hemisphere, dating back to 1998.

In January 2010, the event attracted more than 3,500 entrants from a cast of nations and awarded just under

AUD$20 million in prize money, as players competed for game’s most coveted trophy, the Aussie Millions ‘Main

Event’ Champion.

- The Aussie Millions is held each January at Crown Casino, in Melbourne Australia

- The Aussie Millions ranks as the fifth largest poker tournament in the world by player number

- The championship includes over 20 tournaments culminating in the AUD$10,000 No Limit Holdem ‘Main Event’

- The 2011 Aussie Millions is expected to reach a prize pool of almost AUD$25 million with an expected first prize of

AUD$2.5 million for the AUD$10,000 No Limit Holdem ‘Main Event’

- Over 3,500 individual entrants will participant in the two week series of 20 tournaments

- More than 600 international visitors are expected to attend including players from the United States, England, Ireland,

South Africa, Scandinavia, Canada, Israel, Estonia, Portugal and Russia

- Huge growth in the number of Australian participants is expected, reflecting the increasing popularity of the game

locally

- The Aussie Millions generated approximately 8,000 room nights across Melbourne in January 2010, including over

CROWN: ANNOUNCEMENT WITH THE VICTORIAN STATE GOVERNMENT (MAY 2009)

Crown announced in May 2009 that an agreement had been reached with the Victorian State Government on a

range of issues including an increase in the number of gaming tables and a new tax regime for electronic gaming

machines (EGMs).

Key features of the new agreement include the following;

- An increase in the maximum permitted number of table games from the current limit of 350 tables to a

new limit of 400 tables (excluding poker tables).

- Up to 200 terminals/screens for fully automated multi-station table games will be permitted within this

new table game limit (equivalent to approximately 20 fully automated tables).

- In addition to the limit of 400 traditional tables (black jack, roulette, baccarat etc) up to 100 poker tables

will also be permitted. Crown currently has approximately 50 poker tables within its current maximum

table limit of 350 tables.

- In summary these new increased table limits will allow Crown to increase the number of traditional table

games (roulette, blackjack, baccarat, etc) by up to 100 tables and to increase the number of poker tables

by up to 50 tables resulting in a new total limit of 500 tables.

- An expansion of the licensed casino area within the existing Crown complex to accommodate the

additional gaming capacity.

- The Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulation (VCGR) to approve the expansion of the casino

licence and the casino boundary.

- The tax rate on EGMs will be increased by 1.72% each year fox six years from 2009-10 resulting in a total

tax rate increase of 10.32% from 2014-15. The current tax rate on EGMs at the casino is 21.25%.

- The current Health Benefit Levy will be abolished from 1 July 2012.

- No further amendments in casino taxes or levies until the end of 2022.

CROWN: COMPLEX UPGRADES (MARCH 2010)

Crown announced in March 2010 that more than $200 million will be spent to improve the premium player

facilities at the Crown Entertainment Complex, further enhancing it as one of the world’s leading integrated

resorts, and includes the following;

- The investment will create more than 200 new jobs and strengthen Crown Melbourne among its peers in

Macau and Singapore, where luxurious new integrated resorts have recently opened.

- The Presidential Villa on Level 39 of Crown Towers will be converted to the world’s newest and most

luxurious gaming club showcasing four new private VIP gaming salons with 10 new gaming tables, to be

opened in October 2010. The new penthouse gaming salons will allow international premium players to

play against the dramatic backdrop of 360 degree views of the Melbourne city skyline, its parklands and

Port Phillip Bay. The architect designed private salons will feature a world of tailored luxury and 24 hour

catering from Crown’s unique array of five star restaurants.

- The premium Mahogany Room will be expanded by almost 50% to present a dramatic new facade facing

the Yarra River. A new private gaming salon will be constructed and the existing VIP private gaming salons

will be completely refurbished to the highest international standard. The number of gaming tables in the

Mahogany Room will increase by 16. An exclusive “club” atmosphere will be created for members with the

construction of new non-gaming facilities including a purpose-built five-star restaurant catering Western

and Eastern food, a premium bar with lounge areas and terraces with views across the Yarra River.

- The award winning spa facilities at Crown Towers will be upgraded to ensure that the high standard of

luxury is consistent across all Crown Melbourne’s premium areas.

- All villas in Crown Towers will be refurbished to maintain Crown Towers’ position as one of the world’s

leading hotels.

- A new and exciting Lobby Bar will be constructed in the Crown Towers lobby area.

- A new long range Gulf Stream jet will be acquired to expand the VIP fleet of corporate jets on offer to

Crown Melbourne’s international customers.

- The entire project is costed at $212 million and will be fully completed in the first half of 2012.
