What is EDS ?

EDS stands for ETSI Documentation Service.

The ETSI WEBstore team is responsible for the production and dispatch of the ETSI EDS DVDs.

Since the creation of ETSI, over 28 000 specifications have been published.

Today all ETSI standards are distributed on 4 easy to use DVDs:

The ETSI standards are available in PDF format only.All the electronic attachments are also available on the DVD.

Library A DVD contains all editions, up to December 2002 –that represents 12 024 deliverables.This DVD is frozen and no more updates will be made.

Library B DVD contains all editions from January 2003 to December 2006 –that represents 8 104 deliverables.This DVD is frozen and no more updates will be made.

Library C DVD contains all deliverables released from January 2007 to December 2009 - that represents 6 759 deliverables.This DVD is frozen and no more updates will be made.

The Quaterly update DVD contains contains all deliverables released from January 2010up to the last quarterly DVD produced.

What are the advantages of purchasing the ETSI DVD?

No more restrictions on the number of standards you can download: all the documents are available at your fingertips.

The license agreement entitles users to install and share the contents of the DVD‑ROMs on local networks.

GSM, UMTS and 3GPP standards are included.

Search

You have the choice of three different methods for finding a document on the DVD. By document number; By specific word and/or expression; By keywords.

The search function can spot a word or expression in the title and also within the text of the documents.

If you wish to find a document by keywords, a keyword listing is available on the DVD. You can access it via the bookmarks.

Electronic attachments

Electronic attachments are shown by disk icons that you just have to click to open.

Help file

On each DVD you have a help file which will assist you with the search.

GSM, UMTS and 3GPP cross references

You also have a file regrouping all the GSM, UMTS and 3GPP deliverables which have been published by ETSI.

This file helps you to find the corresponding ETSI deliverable.

EDS On-Line (password protected)

The EDS package (4 updates) includes access to the EDS On-Line service from which you can download the latest ETSI standards which have been made publicly available between two releases of the “Quarterly Update” DVD.
