• The following graphics are designed to help you to navigate through this Computer Based Training. The navigational guides require a single mouse click and may appear in different areas of a slide but, the majority are located on the right side of the screen.

If you would like to print this CBT:
• Return to the DCS web page.
• Right click on the link to the CBT and choose “Save Target As…”
• Choose a location on your computer to save the file and click OK.
• Go to Start, Programs, Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Choose “Open an Existing Presentation”.
• Choose the CBT file that you saved above.
• Choose File, Print from the menu.

• A new placement type called ‘Self-Sufficient’ has been created to allow case managers to make a new placement for post custody or custody clients who are old enough to live on their own while attending school , working etc…
• To enter a ‘Self-Sufficient’ placement the client must have an active Post-Custody case or the client must have an active Custody case and be 18 years or older.
• Use of the ‘Self-Sufficient’ placement should be decided at the Child and Family Team Meeting.

The user will double click on the Placements Icon located at the case detail line.

To enter a new placement right click and select ‘Add Placement Location’.

The user will enter the date and select ‘Self-Sufficient’ from the placement type drop down list.

The system will enter the Service Setting, AFCARS Setting, Location, Address and ID information. The user will Select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ from the Completed drop down list. The user will then click OK. Please refer to the Discharge Reasons training document.

The placement is added to the client’s record. The user will also notice six additional tabs. These tabs are read only for the case manager.
