Gospel: john 1: 29-34 John the Baptist had the great honor of preparing the way for Jesus. Through John's preaching and baptizing, the people's hearts were ready for the coming of the Lamb of God. John had spent his entire life listening to God's word. And when Jesus, the Messiah, finally came, God helped John to recognize him. 1.) What is your response? How do you decide whether to "give in" or not? When is it important to you to be "right" and when can you lay aside your own way of thinking in order to let God's bigger plan unfold?

Evangelio: juan 1: 29-34 Juan el Bautista tiene el gran honor de preparar el camino de Jesús. Por las prédicas y el bautismo de Juan los corazones de la gente estaban preparados para la venida del Cordero de Dios. Juan pasó toda su vida es-cuchando la palabra de Dios. Cuando Jesús, el Mesías, llegó, Dios ayudó a Juan a reconocerlo. 1.) Con frecuencia estamos tan ocupados que no es-cuchamos la palabra de Dios. No siempre estamos pre-parados para reconocer a Jesús en nuestras vidas. ¿Qué harás para escuchar mejor?

Reflections ~ Reflexiones Pastor’s Message: Jesus is the beloved Son of the Father. He is the light of the nations and Lord of all creations . To him be all glory and praise! The Eucharistic Prayer for the Masses for Various Needs and Occasions with its proper prefaces and cor-responding intercessions may fittingly be used with for-mularies of the Mass for Various needs and Occasions, which do not have their own proper prefaces.

In the celebration of the Eucharist on weekdays in Ordinary Time, the term “ any Mass” indicates that any of the thirty-four formularies found in the Roman Missal for Sunday in Ordinary Time may used, as well as any of the Masses and Prayers for Various Needs and Occa-sions and Votive Masses, as pastoral for Masses, as pas-toral needs may suggest and as liturgical norms allow. En la celebración de la Eucaristía durante los días de la semana del Tiempo Ordinario, la expresión "cualquier Mi-sa" indica que, de acuerdo con las necesidades pastora-les y si las normas litúrgicas lo permiten, se pueden utilizar cualquiera de las treintaicuatro fórmulas para los domin-gos de la temporada que se encuentran en el Misal Ro-mano;, así como para las Misas de Diversas Necesidades y ocaciones y las Misas votivas..
