BudgetThetotalcostoftheprojectfortwoyearsisapproximatelyUS$750,000whichcoversallproductioncosts(includingalltravelexpenses,ongroundlogistics,wages)andthenallpostproduction anddeliverablesincludingwebsite,socialmediacampaigns,printedbookandtwoexhibits.Thenetcosts,afterin-kindsupportisUS$370,000.Excludedonly isthepostproductionofthefilmmediaoutputwhichwillbedeterminedby theoutlet.
Financing willcomefromthecombinationofFoundationsupport,Corporatesponsorship,andin-kindsupportfromNGOs,equipmentsponsors,technologyandoutreachpartners.
Mediapartnershipswillbeformedtosupport thestorytellingprocessoftheprojectasitisproduced, intraditionalandsocialmedia,aswellastheoutputofphysicaldeliverables.
Theprojectisdrivenbytellingthestoriesinprintandphotographyofthepeoplewhoareseekingrefuge.Aswearebuildingthesestories,wewillcreatefilmedmediacontenttoproduceaTVdocumentaryatthecompletionoftheproject.

AlissaEverett,photographerLiving,working,andtravelingthrough121countries,Alissaconsidersherselfincrediblyfortunatetohavephotographonall7continents.Shehastravelledonassignedfornewsandmagazineoutlets,untakenhumanitarianworkandpursuedpersonalprojectsinsomeofthemostremotelocationsontheplanet.Muchofhertravelshavebeensolo,under theweightofherownbackpackandcameraequipment.
Alissa’searlywork inconflictzonesincludedIraq,wheresheself-droveintothesouthandendedupembeddedwiththe101stAirborne,travelingwithGeneralPetreas.OtherconflictzoneworkincludemultipletripstoSudan,Afghanistan,assignmentsinGazaandtheWestBank,andsevenyearsofvisitstotheDRCongo.Whileherassignmentsremaininthesameregions,over timeherfocushaschangedtothehumanconsequencesofconflictand,inthecaseofCongo,followingandassistingcommunitiesformanyyears.
Humanitarianwork includestheSyrianrefugeecrisisforUNICEF,theSwatrefugeecampsforWorldFoodProgram,peaceandreconciliationwork forHumanityUnitedinSouthSudananddocumentingtherecoveryofsurvivorsofsexualviolence intheCongo forherownfoundation,ExposingHope.
HerpersonalinterestintraditionalfestivalsandotherculturalgatheringshastakenhertoIndia’sHoli,Brazil’scarnivale,theLozi people’sKumoboka.
BorninCalifornia,shehaslivedinMexico,Senegal,LebanonandNewYorkCity,andhasjustrelocatedtoNairobi,Kenya.AgraduateofUCLAandthePeaceCorp,priortophotographyshehadacareerasaninvestmentbanker.
