Lesson Objective:At the end of the Sectors of Technology lesson, the student will be able to list and know examples of the different sectors of technology.Lesson Prerequisites:The student can have little to no experience with the sectors of technology. However, it would be a good idea to explain and define technology before starting lesson.Materials and Resources:-Working Windows computer with internet access-Microsoft PowerPoint-Paper (notes and review) and pencil-Printout of main page to check off (printer)-Sectors of Technology fileLesson Strategies:In this lesson, students are going to work through the sectors of technology and their perspective examples. The lesson involves reading and writing. Students are to check off print out of main page as they work their way from start to finish. When students finish reading articles on subject, they will be asked a question before they are allowed to move forward. Students then my choose the next subject and article to move forward. Each student should take notes on the selected article to help with future achievement. After finishing, they should write a review of the article of their choosing that they read.Evaluation Plan:The assessment plan is made up of three parts as viewed on the teacher evaluation page. The parts include: participation, article summary, and notes. Several days after the lesson, students are tested on their knowledge of the sectors based on this lesson and the textbook and scored.
