In two more weeks we will be celebrating Pentecost. We are already reading in the scrip-tures about the presence of the Holy Spirit in the early Church. Among the first Christians there were many miracles however our faith cannot be only based on miracles but in trusting in God’s will and in His most important miracle, the love God has for us.

Our lives are miracles of God’s love. Today’s Gospel expresses how much God loves us “whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”When we know who we are and we understand how much God love us, then our faith and ev-erything we do makes sense. In these difficult times I have seen the preoccupation of many of our brothers and sisters trying to help others. For example, your generosity every time we ask for the collections many of you come to our church to drop envelops with that joy in your hearts and de-sire to come back to Church. I can see that love for the Church and others in your hearts.

My brothers and sisters, it is only by living God’s love in our hearts that we can practice charity without expecting anything back. Those beautiful actions of many of you in these times are true miracles of the Church almost two thousand years after. These acts of charity are expressions of the work of the Holy Spirit in your lives. Thank you for your witness.

This Sunday, that Jesus is talking about love. Let us try to continue practicing it by helping others, by forgiving others and especially by loving ourselves. A good reading I recommend you for these days would be the parable of the Good Samaritan. The parable help us to approach our neighbor, to reconcile with them, to help them and love them with sincere charity.

Let us try to practice God’s love in these difficult times and be ready for Pentecost.

I’m just amazed how people on the earth respond to tragedy and to the suffering of others. People are sharing their food with others. People drop off food in the park-

ing lot of your Church to be shared with those who have less. People not concerned

about creed or ethnicity run out to help people in need with food, with monetary donations and of course with moral support. This makes me very happy and to see that from the heavens is just spectacular and there is no better thing to do right now but to reach out to those in need. This time of pademic is an opportunity for the

humanity to know that they have brothers and sisters who are in great need because they have no jobs and therefore there is no income that will pay for the bills at home. I know of someone who was very grateful for all that he had , that he felt that it was his obligation and perhaps his duty to help someone in need. These are the real miracles that are taking place out there as we see suffering and pain robbing people of their joy and being with their families. Keep up the good work peo-ple of God because I tell you the Creator is very happy with what you are doing for others. Ciao, woof, woof.

LIVE STREAM ROSARY AT DAWNWe invite you to continue to join us on face book or on the website every day for the celebration of the Mass at 10:00 am in English and the 12:00 in Spanish. Then we have our Holy Hour every day Monday-Friday at 6:00 pm. On Saturday we continue with our traditional Rosary at dawn at 6:00 am, of course it is virtual. Last Saturday more than 80 people were connected and together we honored our Blessed Mother during this month of May.

FEAST OF THE ASCENSION OF OUR LORDUsually this coming Thursday would have been the feast of the Ascension in our Church. But the Bishops of New Jersey, due to the Corona virus we are experiencing and people not being able to go to Church, they have moved the feast to this coming Sunday the seventh in the Easter season. So the prayers and readings for this coming Sunday, May 24 will be for the feast of the Ascension of our Lord into heaven. We pray you can connect with us and see the Mass live streamed from the Altar of our beautiful Church.

YOUR KINDNESS AND GENEROSITYWe continue to be very grateful for your kindness and generosity. Although what we receive does not amount to what we usually receive every Sunday, yet your contributions continue to help us with our bills and the running of the parish. We hope that soon we will go back to Church and things can become nor-mal again, perhaps a different normality but the good thing is that we can gather in Church again soon.

THE CORONA VIRUS AND USWe continue to pray for our brothers and sisters who are suffering with the virus. I think we had been very blessed because we haven’t had that many people dying from the virus very few that were from the parish or connected to someone in the parish. It is our prayer that those who are sick can be restore to health soon and be able to be re-united with their families again. We are waiting from the directives of the diocese in regards when we can return to Church and open up our offices as well as how we are going to do it. Although we basically know that one of the things is that with some of our Masses we will have to divide the people so everyone can attend Mass. With the English speaking Masses I think we will be ok the only thing to do is to keep the social distance of 6 feet and of course wear a mask when they come to Church. For the Hispanic community, we are planning to add another Mass so we can accommodate as many as we can keep-ing the social distance. Perhaps next week you will be receiving more information in regards to the reopening of our Church for the celebration of the Mass. We thank you for your patience and of course your collaboration.

Si me aman…Por Padre Dailon

En 2 semanas más estaremos celebrando Pentecostés. Desde ya estamos leyendo en las Escrituras acerca de la presencia del Espíritu Santo en la Iglesia primitiva. Entre los primeros cris-tianos hubo muchos milagros, sin embargo, nuestra fe no puede basarse solo en milagros sino en confiar en la voluntad de Dios y en Su milagro más importante: el amor que Dios tiene por no-sotros.

Nuestras vidas son milagros del amor de Dios. Hoy el Evangelio expresa cuánto nos ama Dios “al que me ama a mí, lo amará mi Padre, yo también lo amaré y me manifestaré a él”.Cuando sabemos quiénes somos y entendemos cuánto nos ama Dios, entonces nuestra fe y todo lo que hacemos tiene sentido. En estos tiempos difíciles, he visto la preocupación de muchos de nuestros hermanos y hermanas que intentan ayudar a los demás. Por ejemplo, su generosidad cada vez que pedimos las colectas para la iglesia; muchos de ustedes vienen a nuestra iglesia y traen los sobres con mucha alegría en sus corazones y su deseo de regresar pronto a la Iglesia. Cuando los veo, yo puedo notar ese amor en sus corazones por la Iglesia y los demás

Mis hermanos y hermanas, solo viviendo el amor de Dios en nuestros corazones podemos practicar la caridad sin esperar nada. Esas hermosas acciones de muchos de ustedes en estos tiempos, son verdaderos milagros de la Iglesia casi 2 mil años después. Esos actos de caridad son expresiones de la obra del Espíritu Santo en sus vidas. Gracias por tu testimonio.

Este domingo, que Jesús está hablando sobre el amor, intentemos seguir practicando este amor ayudando a otros, perdonando a otros y especialmente amándonos a nosotros mismos. Una buena lectura que te recomiendo para estos días es la Parábola del buen samaritano, pues nos ayu-da a acercarnos a nuestro prójimo, a reconciliarnos con ellos, a ayudarlos y a amarlos con sincera caridad.

Tratemos de practicar el amor de Dios en estos tiempos difíciles y estemos listos para Pentecostés.

da con ellos. Llevan alimentos al estaciona-miento de la iglesia para compartirlos con aquellos que tienen menos. Personas sin preocuparse sobre su credo, etnia u origen, salen corriendo a ayudar a muchos con alimento, donaciones de dinero, y apoyo moral. Esto me hace muy feliz y ver esto desde el cielo es espec-tacular y no hay mejor cosa por hacer ahora que au-xiliar a aquellos en necesidad. Este tiempo de pandemia

es una oportunidad para la humanidad de saber que hay hermanos y hermanas en gran necesidad porque es-tán sin trabajo y no hay ingresos para pagar las cuen-tas. Sé de alguien que estaba muy agradecido por todo lo que tenía, que sintió la obligación y deber de ayu-dar a alguien más en necesidad. Estos son los verdade-ros milagros que están sucediendo mientras vemos su-frimiento y dolor robándole la alegría a la gente y a sus familias. Sigan trabajando fuerte por el pueblo de Dios porque les digo que el Creador está muy contento con lo que estás haciendo por los demás. Chao, guau, guau.

FIESTA DE LA ASCENSIÓN DEL SEÑOREste jueves hubiera sido la Fiesta de la Ascensión del Señor. Pero los obispos de Nueva Jersey por el corona-virus que estamos experimentando, y porque la gente no puede venir a la iglesia, han movido la fiesta para el 7º domingo de pascua. Así que las oraciones y lec-turas del próximo domingo, 24 de mayo serán en ho-nor a la Fiesta de ascensión del Señor en el cielo. Ora-mos para que te puedas conectar con nosotros y ver la Misa en vivo desde el altar de nuestra hermosa iglesia.

TU BONDAD Y GENEROSIDADSeguimos muy agradecidos por tu bondad y generosidad. Aunque los dineros que recibimos no son lo que recibía-mos cada domingo, tu contribución sigue ayudando a pagar las cuentas y con la operación de la parroquia. Esperamos pronto poder regresar a la iglesia y que todo vuelva a la normalidad, tal vez muy distinta pero lo bueno será que podremos reunirnos en el templo nuevamente.

EL CORONAVIRUS Y NOSOTROSSeguimos rezando por nuestros hermanos y hermanas que sufren a causa del virus. Pienso que hemos sido muy bendecidos porque no hemos tenido a tantas personas muriendo del virus, mas bien han sido pocos, y los que sabemos ha sido porque están relacionados con nuestros parroquianos. Es nuestra oración que aquellos que están enfermos se restauren en salud pronto y se puedan reunir con sus familias nuevamente. Sabemos que tendremos un diferente protocolo para las Misas y habrá que di-vidir a la gente de varias formas para que puedan venir a Misa. Con los americanos estaremos bien porque no son tan numerosos, habrá que tener la distancia social a 2 metros (6 pies), y usar tapabocas/mascarilla cuando vengan al templo. Para la comunidad hispana, planea-mos agregar una Misa más para acomodar a tantos como podamos manteniendo las reglas de la distancia social. A lo mejor la semana entrante tendremos más información sobre la reapertura de nuestra iglesia para la celebración de la Misa. Agradecemos tu paciencia y cooperación.
