The price of modern day licensed music have priced

many small groups out of the market as other larger

organisations can afford it making it difficult for people

with less financial assets to remain popular.

How can we make music that’s original and

copyright free.

Our idea is the procedurally generated music app. This

means our app will generate free and what’s more

copy right free music that anyone can use. The basic

app will be able to generate a song for either people

who want a free and easy to use source of music or

more importantly in my opinion it gives the people

who have the ability to animate create sort films ect.

To have access to free music so they don’t have to

either deal with the over used public domain music or

spend a fortune on composed copyrighted music.

We could not find any app that is similar to ours, meaning that our app has no competition marketers. Our unique selling point is the save button allowing you to save a song that you like to your device for free and have it stored there ready for you to listen to. Spotify is partly an alternative solution however does not procedurally generate its music unlike what our app would do and what our app is against.

Options change font size backgrounds and other cosmetics.And songs saved directly on the phone can be accessed through the

app (up to 10)

We believe our app to be entirely feasible although difficult as the technology is already there. But it will require data collection and

would be difficult to create to its fullest potential.

Business case

We believe that everybody should have access to our app in order to spread the apps user base and growth so we believe that the ideal way to sell our app is through advertisements during the time that it takes to generate a new song (which if necessary can be artificially lengthened ). Although at the same time we believe that the more dedicated of our user base should pay a small fee. This includes removing adds , unlimited song save slots ( usually limited to 10) and the ability to export the tracks to there computer to use in what ever medium they choose ( copy right free).

We are planning on our app being recommended by word of mouth and the odd bit of advertising on Spotify and other music based apps/websites.We are exploring advertisements on websites as well as promotion videos on YouTube. Put demonstrations of the songs it makes viral.
