Following the positive message of ISHS secretariat (March 18 th , 2016) in our proposal, the local organizing Committee is delighted to announce that the Symposium will be organized by the Hellenic Society of Phytiatry and the Department of Plant Pathology, Agricultural University of Athens, Greece, under the aegis of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS). The IX SD 2018 Symposium will follow the tradition of the previous Symposia in its format, organized in the past in Louvain, Belgium and Torino, Italy and will also include new topics, according to the progress of the research carried out as well as to the new challenges posed by new regulations and policies in the field of soil and substrate disinfestation as will be formalized by the suggestions of the International Scientific Committee. We are pleased to inform you that our proposal for holding the IX International

ISLAND OF CRETE
The island of Crete, so famous for out of season vegetable and ornamental cultivation, is characterized by the outstanding professionalism of the private

HERAKLION, CRETE Heraklion is the capital of Crete and one of the Mediterranean region’s most fascinating and vibrant cities. It is full of places to discover.
