• I find this career very interesting. I like science and I think it would be really cool to have the opportunity to work in the lab with DNA and uncover mysteries and develop new medicines. The long hours and redundant work is the only downside to this career. The information found by studying the DNA could be used in crime cases, agriculture (genetic engineering) and medicine and I feel that would be great to be the backing force behind all those solutions. As one becomes more experienced, one only gets more involved in the job and gets more opportunities, which is great.

Accountant: Reaction• This job does not interest me as much. I do not think that I would

want my whole career to be based around numbers and dealing with people’s taxes and their money problems. The environment of this job is fine, however the downside is that you must deliver a lot of bad news and deal with stubborn people. In addition, an accountant spends a lot of time on the phone and at meetings and that is just not how I see my future. Delivering bad news and dealing with nasty people would put me in a bad mood and give me a negative feeling and to me that is not an enjoyable career. In addition, only certain subcategories of accounting are required to increase at a steady rate, where as other types of accountants may need to re-educate themselves if certain tax laws are voted into law. I do not want to take that chance.

Hospital Administrator performs a variety of many different tasks that make the job exciting and work with a variety of people. The employment is expected to grow at a steady pace which is a good factor and I feel that this career is one that will take you very far because as one becomes more experienced one has the opportunity to become a Chief Executive Officer, etc. As a Hospital Administrator one acts almost like the manager and makes sure that everything is running smoothly. In addition, they attend many meetings and plan a lot of activities. Having knowledge in medicine is in my interest and I also love being in charge and I would love to work in a place where I know people are being helped. In addition, I would enjoy interviewing and hiring people and planning out how things should run. I am also very organized and I feel that would be very useful for this particular job.
