To the Congregation and Staff: Your recent note of appreciation and gift is appreciated. It has been a pleasure to assist in the maintenance of the church property. As a retiree, I find that the giving of time is as important as monetary contributions to a worth cause. With your continued support, we can make the property a showplace for the community. Thanks, Jean Hadley

I would like to thank everyone at Calvary who participated in our UMW Apple Tree Ministry. We had 29 children from 12 different families! Every year the number of children in-creases, and I worry about our ability to provide for all of those children. We had almost 250 apples this year, and all of the items were purchased for the children. God’s work is amazing! I am so blessed to be a part of such a generous and loving congregation! I want to say a special “Thank You” to Fay Gossen for ALL of your continued help with this ministry. I also want to thank Pastor Todd for your help, the ladies of the UMW for helping me get those last apples taken, and my family for all of your help! I couldn’t do this project alone, so thank you again to everyone. Serena Runions

Dry Milk for Kissy Clinic, Sierra Leone During the month of October, the Calvary’s UMW in conjunc-tion with the West District, will be collecting dry milk to send to the Kissy Clinic in Sierra Leone for the babies there. The donated milk has to have at least a six-month expiration date. The West District has set a goal of 2009 boxes of milk in 2009. Please call Jennifer Moore at 852-5265, if you have any questions.
