We are writing in desperation. You have received correspondence from Town

Supervisors,

Y

State Senators, nearly all the landowners along the Potter and Centerport

Road portion

of

this proposed route, landowners along the Tanner Road portion including

landowners

off

Route 34. n fact, landowners from nearly every portion

of

this expansion

project have written or spoken in opposition to this project.

Having just received correspondence from the Power Companies that they intend to enter

our land, and proceed with the expansion, leaves us at a loss as to how to gain

representation in this matter.

We do not understand why, when there are alternatives to this route, our objections do

not seem to matter. We would greatly appreciate an explanation as to why our protests

are being ignored. I fear the name Public Service commission is a misnomer. I cannot

for the life of me see how allowing this expansion to move forward through our

properties, simply to improve the profits of the Power Companies involved, is a Public

Service. There is a power plant near by, in mothballs, that could produce all the

electricity needed now and in the future.

We are enclosing the petition and original correspondence with the hope that you will

reconsider. We ask you to please, put a stop to this transgression, and give the taxpayers

involved in this matter relief from the continued assault on our properties, our persons,

and our peace

of

mind.

Dear Madam,

We are writing to make you aware that the Land Owners, and those with properties which

are adjacent to the proposed Auburn Transmission Line Project Alternate Route #1,

oppose the expansion of the existing transmission towers and all encroachments on or

near our properties.

We believe that we have already made sufficient sacrifices for the public good by living

with the existing structures. We object to the further devaluation of our properties, the

additional loss

of

use

of

our properties within the expanded right

of

way, and the

corresponding increase in health risks associated with such transmission lines.

Please find attached a petition containing the names, addresses, and signatures

of

those

land owners and affected parties within the Potter Road section of the proposed Projects

Alternate Route #1 The signatories do protest any enlargement of the existing

transmission lines along the aforementioned route. We expect our wishes to be respected

and request written affirmation that this route will not be used.
